[ the feed starts with the image of sweet-faced girl, smiling shyly as the camera starts to record. her eyes are bright with curiosity even still, and it takes a short moment before she finds confidence to speak. ]

Such a tricky device, is it not? I do not know the mechanics behind it all, but it's quite the work of craftsmanship, I think.

[ margaery's grin grows more daring, and she falls back in tune with her usual self - confident and unyielding, brave and charming. ]

I do have to say, this is not entirely what I expected a kidnapping to be like - even prison held more restraints. I should suppose each man has their own way of doing things. Even still, you would have to wonder the wit of some people - kidnapping the Queen is a high form of treason, punishable by gruesome death. [ a dramatic hand wave. the kedan have told her all about the "in between" or whatever that meant, but the information meant little to her in this moment.  ] Though I am capable of going silently if given the option. I'm willing to forgive you of your trespasses, friend, if only granted the safe travel back to King's Landing, where I am needed.

[ needed to rule as a mother to her people. without her there's was... tommen, yes, the child king, but he was largely reliant on his mother, cersei, to make most decisions. which, if you asked margaery and she was feeling truthful, would say are the wrong decisions. the young tyrell knows her people well - unfortunately, she doesn't trust their fate in the hands of very many.]

Come then. A clever man would return me to my castle. And I need not know you to know of your cleverness, sir.

[ something of an honest smile - though, behind it is a clear threat, and obvious warning. a moment later and margaery hangs up. ]

[ Jack looks better than he has in months and the combination of his newly cooled 3-A treehouse and the wearable unit Jack kept under his hoodie for when he went out meant he was back to his usual good (ahem) spirits. He was busy during the Yard Sale and may have borrowed some of his "allowance" from his shares of SI to fund a few of the things, but he thinks they'll be well worth it. All gifts are delivered overnight with no excess fanfare, just his initials in the corner of each simple folded card. ]

So, someone should catch me up on what kind of summer holiday things should be happening around here. Not that they'll be nearly as good as winter activities, but I'm gonna be gracious and give them a chance.

[ private to Tony Stark (MCU) / basic encryption; ]

[ There's no evident trace of Jack's consternation from a few days ago in Jack's voice -- nor his expression, though he doubts the man has acquired the ability to see him yet. ]

So I wanted to apologize for the mix-up when you arrived and introduce myself properly. My name's Jack, it's nice to meet you. Don't worry about the whole not-seeing thing, that'll probably wear off, it's kind of part of the spirit thing. Also, please don't mind the bed that's in the Stark Building freezer if you go in there, kind of a long story. Anyway, it sounds like Pepper and Bruce have got you settled in, so maybe we'll run into each other at SI some time! Catch you later, Tony.

((OOC: Since we have lots of new people, don't forget to check out Jack's permissions post for whether your character can see/hear him or whether they will view an empty feed/audio only/etc. ))

Cut for gift list! )

[Congratulations, foreigners, you're being treated to a screenful of anxious dragon snout. Iskierka looks rather paler than she did upon her arrival, and slightly tired. Once she is satisfied that this strange device is working, she settles back into her usual pile of loops and curls, ducking to avoid the ceiling.]

I do not know how much Temeraire has told you all of our world, but in the aerial corps, a dragon must have a crew. They are quite useful in a battle, they ride upon our backs and send signals and orders and that sort of thing, and stop us from being boarded. My captain is missing, but I should still like a crew, especially if we are to go about fighting creatures no-one knows anything about.

Pray let me know if you would like to be on it, in that case. I should prefer people with experience fighting, of course, and a physician if I might have one. I do not have my harness with me, but I can fit perhaps six people upon my back, if they have no objection to spikes and steam. I am called Iskierka, you may enquire with me if you wish to do so.

[A blond, pony-tailed man with discerning blue eyes peers into the camera, pausing momentarily as though he expected something significant to happen. And then he raises his eyebrows and quirks one side of his mouth in a facial shrug, apparently deciding to move on despite the lack of it.]

I suppose this is more efficient than quill and ink, but it lacks a certain panache, wouldn't you say? [Being that Westley's not quite certain who he's addressing, best to presume there's someone or another there.]

So, here we are. Not that I can particularly identify who "we" are other than myself, nor am I especially well-versed in where "here" is, but thus the point of my inquiry. [A small, thin smile at his humor, which somehow manages to come off as less self-congratulatory and more charming.] Perhaps someone might be so kind as to share whatever they feel is relevant to a relative newcomer.

Oh, and I nearly forgot.

[He didn't, but best to come off casual about this specific area.]

If anyone can point me toward a blacksmith, that would be quite helpful.
