[A blond, pony-tailed man with discerning blue eyes peers into the camera, pausing momentarily as though he expected something significant to happen. And then he raises his eyebrows and quirks one side of his mouth in a facial shrug, apparently deciding to move on despite the lack of it.]

I suppose this is more efficient than quill and ink, but it lacks a certain panache, wouldn't you say? [Being that Westley's not quite certain who he's addressing, best to presume there's someone or another there.]

So, here we are. Not that I can particularly identify who "we" are other than myself, nor am I especially well-versed in where "here" is, but thus the point of my inquiry. [A small, thin smile at his humor, which somehow manages to come off as less self-congratulatory and more charming.] Perhaps someone might be so kind as to share whatever they feel is relevant to a relative newcomer.

Oh, and I nearly forgot.

[He didn't, but best to come off casual about this specific area.]

If anyone can point me toward a blacksmith, that would be quite helpful.

More than most, perhaps. [Hard work never hurt anyone, but he wasn't fool enough to do it once he came of age. By then, there were more practical methods of escaping his situation.]

The wind, you say? I must admit, you'd be the first I've heard of to do so successfully. Most men trust the wind at their folly.

We have a working relationship, you could say? I still had to learn though... watched a lot of geese, ran into a lot of trees. Heck of a learning curve, let me tell you. Also, geese can be evil.

Are they? Interesting. I'd been known to say the same about seagulls. What particular wrongs have they done you?

I just wanted to watch them so I could get an idea of how to fly! But they kept dive bombing me, and they bite if you get too close.

How very rude. I can see the source of your distaste. [He can't hide his amusement though, because of all complaints from one who can fly.]

I must admit, I'm impressed. I've never known any man to fly without a most unpleasant landing, let alone braving angry birds to do it.
