002 ☆☆☆ [Video]

[The video is coming from a console cafe in the Wood Sector, as is per usual with Bucky, who never posts from where he actually lives, and he's looking... well, a bit worse for the wear. He's pretty banged up, like he's gone several rounds in the boxing ring. Several small cuts are covered with band-aids, and his wrist is visible, clumsily self-set and wrapped up. Other than that, it's hard to see the actual extent of his injuries, as most of the bruising is under his shirt (the plain white t-shirt with his regular Army uniform, he's not in costume).]

So, powers are coming back, hurray for us. Now, turtle, let's play a game of 'recommend Bucky a good doctor because holy smokes, his ribs sure do hurt'. Feel like I went ten rounds with Master Man. [He starts to laugh, but it just turns into a grimace and a subtly mouthed 'ow', curling an arm protectively over said ribs.] No housecalls, I come to you.

[He takes a deep breath through his nose and fixes the slight, patented Bucky smile back on his face, shoving the pain his broken ribs aside for the moment (it's not the first time this has happened).] That said, people I know, lemme know how you're doin'. And folks I don't know, feel free to check in too for my curiosity's sake.

By the way, how'd all those investigations go? Did anyone find anything interesting they wanna share with the class? [Can't hurt, he figures. Worst case scenario is no one tells him anything.]

[Toro had been so exhausted from the last few days that he had actually passed out at his treehouse in Wood Sector since it was closer than going to Bucky's place in Earth. Now he regrets it. His arm and shoulder are bandaged up, but he's not even paying attention to it.]

Bucky what the hell happened to you? Did you get into a fight with a tank?

[Oh, Toro's back and he's up. That's a mild relief, honestly, he was a little concerned about how things might've gone for him. He checks the location this is coming from first, before he says anything (just in case, even though he knows Toro knows better), and yeah, okay, it's the treehouse, he's pretty nearby there...]

I'll be home soon, let's swap stories then? [And a pointed look says he means 'the treehouse' by 'home', not their actual place.]

[He still looks a bit worried, but if Bucky's being a little evasive like this he knows not to push. He'll get the skinny when Buck gets back to the treehouse.]

You better, because man I don't want to have to come drag you back 'cause you're being dumb. You checked in on Cap, yet? [Considering he'd lost his powers too, Toro's a bit worried.]

Yeah, I was with him the whole time. He'll be fine now that powers are comin' back. [Whatever injuries he took, the super-soldier healing will kick in soon enough, Bucky's pretty sure.] Hey, I'm not too far, I'll be there in ten- [He shifts slightly, uncomfortably, grimacing a little.] Make that twenty.

[Stories involve food or it gets awkward. That's something he's learned. And he doesn't want to rack up debt too quickly.]

I can't say I blame him too much. It's been stressful for everyone. Reassure him you aren't falling apart and come over when you can. And try not to flinch too much or you'll have everyone thinking you need to spend the night at a clinic.

There's some sort of clinic some the foreigners own but I think they had some sort of trouble? I know there was talk of rebuilding it anyway.

If you mean the one that got set on fire or somethin', yeah I'm gonna avoid that nuthouse for my own health and safety. [He's still a bit paranoid, there's no way he'd present himself for medical treatment in a place with lax security.]

It wasn't really their fault, but I guess I understand. I have a really smart friend who might be able to treat it some if you want but she's not... well a nurse or anything. Just really smart.

How did you get hurt anyway?

Went on one of those missions for the commander fella, ran into some trouble. [Shrug.]
