✦ 008 ✦ [VIDEO]
[It takes several on-camera seconds before Zatanna can finally figure out the right words for this; her mouth opens and closes twice before she gives up and just comes out with it:]
...is anybody else slightly concerned about the fact that some of the local bakeries've started selling cookies in the shapes of these thi--?
[And the Network is suddenly treated to a GIANT UPSIDE-DOWN TRIBBLE FACE taking up the entire camera. Because it wanted to say hello, of course.]
[Zatanna can barely get out the shriek of surprise in the background before her unexpected visitor suddenly tumbles downward, taking the feed with it. The screen goes dark, leaving one last audio cry before it cuts out completely:]
Get back here, you cheap horror film knockoff!

Re: action
This is floating? Low standards. Incredibly low standards.
[Bart quietly repeats the word paparazzi.]
Doesn't that cause a lot of copycat heroes and villains? It's bad enough now without giving people the chance to be in People.
action
[Which...was a mental image, right up there with Batman literally having kittens, that she didn't really want.]
And not really, no. I think the real heroes and villains are well known enough that nobody would even care enough about a copycat to give them the time of day.
action; I wish I had an icon of robo-Robin
That's probably a blessing. I can only imagine how some of the bad guys would react to copycats.
[Grimace. He can imagine very well.]
action;
[Bart's lip curls at the bad guys' reaction to copycats remark. He hadn't thought of that one.]
Yeeeeah. Let's not go there. I don't know about your rogues, Zatanna, but I can tell you the ones in Keystone are secretly big Flash fanboys. The crazy, obsessed, I-want-to-destroy-you-with-my-love-so-I-can-own-you-forever kind.
action;
I don't know. I'm not completely sold.
[Either on the part of Tim being human...or just because she happens to have a personal Robin bias.]
[Then she turns back to Bart, curious about this continual insistence on copycats.]
Whatever you do, don't tell Wally that. We both know it'll go straight to his head.
action;
If you cut me, do I not bleed? [Pause.] Which was not actually an invitation to cut me, by the way.
[Aaaaand Tim's just not going to comment on the Flash Rogues thing, because... yeah. He just frowns a little.]
action;
[Bart doesn't pick up on the frown being about the Rogues - really, Tim, he can't avoid mentioning them forever. He shoots an appraising look at Tim.]
Are you ticklish?
action;
[And yet her smirk widens.]
Although, there is another way to get the blood flowing...
[Sorry, Bart, the tickles will have to wait. Instead, the 15-year-old magician very gracefully stands up, walks over to him...and places a light peck on his cheek, pulling back to see if that gets him to blush (
it usually works on Jack, and his blood was literally frozen).]action;
And he had been about to deny any sort of ticklishness at all until Zatanna completely surprised him with the kiss.
Yes, he does blush.
A little.]
Uh?
action;
There are moments in Bart's life where he can see what's about to happen, because he's watching the lead-up to it frame-by-frame, and still be completely surprised by it.
Like now, because Zatanna Zatara just kissed Tim Drake, who is now blushing. Bart points his index finger, waving it between the two of them.]
You two want me to clear out? Give you some "space"?
action;
[She'd been hoping for a full face flush. Not a faint tinge of the cheeks. Still, a blush was a blush and she was satisfied. Casually strolling back to her seat on the couch, she crosses her legs and rests her chin in one hand. Kissing Tim Drake? nbd.]
Well, he was right. Definitely not a robot.
action;
action;
[Bart heads for the door, without crossing the space between the other two because tension and sparks much?]
action;
[She rolls her eyes at Bart, even though he can't see with his back turned to her. All that tension? Completely in your head, boy.]
Get back here, Bart.
I already have a Robin, thanks. And, unlike Batman, one is enough for me.
action;
action;
[Bart looks to Zatanna for an answer, since apparently Tim isn't going to share what's so funny. He has one hand on the doorknob.]
What am I not getting here?
action;
Do you want the list alphabetically, or in chronological order?
action;
We're--not at all like that.
action;
[He's let go of the door handle. Bart never really wanted to leave, but felt that he should if the whole thing was going to turn into them having a makeout session.]
Oh. Right. The one I've gotta noogie over that whole toilet comment. So - not at all like that means not dating? I knew she was too cute for you.
action;
Not Tim, no. That was never going to happen--no offense, Tim.
action;
None taken. And no offense to you, but it would really kind of be too weird.
[He eyes Bart, considering if he has anything close enough at hand to throw at him without him seeing. Nothing. Oh, well. Different plan of attack, then.]
I'll absolutely be sure to tell Batgirl you said that, next time I see her.
[Exes still count for comments like that, right? Right.]
action;
Fff. If I'm not afraid of you, what makes you think I'm afraid of Batgirl? What does she have to do with it anyway? Is she here? Talk about super cute.
action;
...you and Batgirl are a thing?
action;
Uh--no, not anymore. It was a long time ago.
