video ✿

[The video feed turns on to flowers. Flowers in boquets. Flowers in vases. some flowers clearly set aside for other purposes. Flowers on tribbles. Flower crowns and leis on a swizard who looks way too pleased with herself. Asbel's suite is full of them, or at least the view from his console, and he looks...well, significantly less frazzled than he had in getting them home, but that's not saying much.]

...So I don't suppose, in the middle of all this, anyone needs some flowers? Flower crowns, boquets, home decoration...anything like that.

[He coughs, faintly, before moving on.]

Actually, on that note, does anyone have any suggestions for what to do with these...? I have way more than I need for seeds or flower tea.

[He pauses and watches a tribble just sit amongst the flowers and coo, and sighs heavily before ending the video.]

[a flower singularity]

Uh.

[Traci is way way way more active on the network than he is, so she's sure to spot this and he'll never get to surprise her ever. Just to be sure, he bumps up the encryption a bit. cue overly serious expression.]

Something-- something for my girlfriend. I don't actually know which kinds girls like. Help?

[this is TOP SECRET asbel you mustn't tell a soul]

She's not that traditional. I think she might think those were too sappy. [Either way she's going to think he's a big ol' sap but he wants to minimize embarrassment, okay.]

She just replied to you. Black hair. [screaming internally, no, what are you talking about]

What do those look like again? Aside from, um, violet? [A+ deduction, Jaime.] And you're sure the symbolism isn't... rude or anything, at least.
