[The video feed turns on to flowers. Flowers in boquets. Flowers in vases. some flowers clearly set aside for other purposes. Flowers on tribbles. Flower crowns and leis on a swizard who looks way too pleased with herself. Asbel's suite is full of them, or at least the view from his console, and he looks...well, significantly less frazzled than he had in getting them home, but that's not saying much.]

...So I don't suppose, in the middle of all this, anyone needs some flowers? Flower crowns, boquets, home decoration...anything like that.

[He coughs, faintly, before moving on.]

Actually, on that note, does anyone have any suggestions for what to do with these...? I have way more than I need for seeds or flower tea.

[He pauses and watches a tribble just sit amongst the flowers and coo, and sighs heavily before ending the video.]

[Richard, in a new, rich cloak found at the yardsale, steps into Asbel's home. Walking past Maggie, he strokes her head.] I heard you had a flower problem. [He tabs Asbel on the shoulder as he passes him by. In a manner nearly identical to how he greeted the pet swizard] Allow me to assist you by taking a few for my home. [And Richard heads right to the roses, stopping there to gently run his fingers over those silken petals.]

[Asbel doesn't even look up all the way, just picks of a flower crown in wisterias and sets it on Richard's head.]

You're so helpful, Your Highness.

[He's allowed to tease Richard about flowers, his sass has already been turned on.]

[Richard glances back at Asbel, amused.] You'll find that crowning a king is the exclusive privilege of a bishop. [If Asbel's going to use 'Your Highness,' Richard's going to tease him.] On the other hand . . .

[Richard pulls a rose free from the pile. He holds it from the base of the stem as he turns to smile upon Asbel.] Knighting is well within a king's rights. [He taps Asbel once on the head with the rose.] The Knight of Flowers, shall it be?

As for the tribbles, yes, but...

[There's movement to the side of the camera. A swizard striking lightning fast like some kind of viper, and then a crunching sound. Asbel only barely manages not to wince at the noise.]

...Well, they haven't really been a problem in here.

Well, that is a good solution. The whole problem with them is, after all, the absence of predators to limit the tribble population.

Easier than upping an encryption, of course, because that'd just be ridiculous when all he wants are some flowers.]
