Well, that was... quite the event, now wasn't it? I'd like to extend my thanks to anyone that helped clear out the infestation of those little creatures.
[Bruce tosses the camera a disarming smile, pushes a fountain pen out of the view of the camera. There's a slight shift in his demeanor, the sort that few people would be able to recognize much less understand. Batman has just hung up his Bruce Wayne hat.]
I'd actually like to address a matter that concerns us all. I notice there've been considerable tensions lately between the metahuman or powered individuals and those who are more commonly considered 'baseline'. It's my understanding that we're all here to help this world inasmuch as we can regardless of our abilities or beliefs. As with all things, there is always the potential for those with power to abuse that power, but it's my belief that the majority of individuals here deserve our trust equally as much as our respect.
[You owe him for this one, Clark. He coughs, and then brightens.]
Also, it's my understanding that the first wave of Foreigners began arriving a year and four days ago. I know many of you are missing your friends, your families, and others may have those friends or families with you. For better or worse, this place has been a prison, a home, a second chance to a variety of people, many of which are no longer with us. The community we've created here has been strong and each obstacle we've encountered we've overcome, together. And together is the only way we can move forward.
[He folds his hands on the desk in front of him, gives the camera a firm nod.]
On that note, Wayne Enterprises is always hiring, and my pharmecutical branch is available for anyone missing medications from their respective homes, so if you've any interest in working for or speaking with the longest-standing foreigner-run business on Tu Vishan, my office is in the Metal Sector, and I'm available between six AM and noon on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thank you for your time, Keeliai.

[...Hoffman can never resist an opportunity to speak to Bruce Wayne. For reasons that he no longer understands.
childhood, lost years, that sort of thing.]That's good to know.[Video;]
I do. Does that alarm you, Detective?
Re: [Video;]

I don't remember asking you to call me sir at any point in our prior conversation, you know.
Re: [Video;]
Bruce wayne..] That was me being impressed talking. Sometimes it slips out.[He grins.] Putting together a pharma company on a giant turtle is really useful though.

[Not that he'd know, because of course he stayed on the nice, safe mainland.
No he didn't.]Re: [Video;]

I'm sorry, what's an 'HMO' exactly?
[Playing dumb is his day job always.]
Re: [Video;]
Comics are easier. ]
Doctors gouging good guys so they can get a new BMW.

[Hey he's always publicly been a philanthropist, okok.]

[... there's been Research, okay.]

[His smile is apologetic, and a little sad.]
I never have been much use in a fight. I fund hospitals and hope it's enough. I believe a few people have worked at assembling response teams, but I have no idea if they've been successful or not.
Re: [Video;]
At least you care about the less fortunate Mr. Wayne. That's something. [His mouth twists] After awhile I have to admit they do just become numbers.
...Take this guy back home. Jigsaw.
[There's a story here, and Bruce's focus sharpens on it. He wonders briefly if this relates to their earlier conversation.]
'Jigsaw'? A bit of an odd name.
Re: [Video;]
Serial killer. ...Technically [There's a weird smile on his face for half a heartbeat. Then it's gone] He hasn't killed anyone. In a legal sense. Kidnapping sure, robbery sure. But murder? He's...He takes people who are guilty and puts them in torture traps and gives them a chance to be reborn. In his twisted sense of the word.
[That's right. Yes. He has to hate the man, to disagree. He does hate him but he can't shake that grudging sort of tired respect. He exemplifies the overworked civil servant then. Focusing on their talk.]
You don't think it's murder, to put someone deliberately in a situation where they're likely to die? That's skirting the letter of the law rather closely.
