Well, that was... quite the event, now wasn't it? I'd like to extend my thanks to anyone that helped clear out the infestation of those little creatures.
[Bruce tosses the camera a disarming smile, pushes a fountain pen out of the view of the camera. There's a slight shift in his demeanor, the sort that few people would be able to recognize much less understand. Batman has just hung up his Bruce Wayne hat.]
I'd actually like to address a matter that concerns us all. I notice there've been considerable tensions lately between the metahuman or powered individuals and those who are more commonly considered 'baseline'. It's my understanding that we're all here to help this world inasmuch as we can regardless of our abilities or beliefs. As with all things, there is always the potential for those with power to abuse that power, but it's my belief that the majority of individuals here deserve our trust equally as much as our respect.
[You owe him for this one, Clark. He coughs, and then brightens.]
Also, it's my understanding that the first wave of Foreigners began arriving a year and four days ago. I know many of you are missing your friends, your families, and others may have those friends or families with you. For better or worse, this place has been a prison, a home, a second chance to a variety of people, many of which are no longer with us. The community we've created here has been strong and each obstacle we've encountered we've overcome, together. And together is the only way we can move forward.
[He folds his hands on the desk in front of him, gives the camera a firm nod.]
On that note, Wayne Enterprises is always hiring, and my pharmecutical branch is available for anyone missing medications from their respective homes, so if you've any interest in working for or speaking with the longest-standing foreigner-run business on Tu Vishan, my office is in the Metal Sector, and I'm available between six AM and noon on Mondays and Tuesdays. German, isn't it? Is that where you're from?

It is, I spent most of my life there until I came to America. Though sometimes I wonder which is worse.

I... read it better than I speak it, unfortunately. I know a little German, too.
[Oops, oblivious-sounding babble. Though Kurt's comment about which is worse draws his attention.]

Is this the same as the Japanese? Being better at reading than speaking?
Those people with the power back home that abuse it, aren't exactly the nicest people to my 'kind'. [He even does air quotations at the word kind as well.]
So it's really a case of where would I prefer to be each day. [It's not that bad. Though some days it is.]

Speaking than reading, in the case of German. Some of my most influential business associates are German, it pays to be able to speak with them directly.
[And then he tilts his head curiously to one side.]

[How does he manage to sound so completely genuine? It's a mystery.]

There's more here than I'd like for there to be. And we come in all colours under the sun. Though I have to say, blue is the best.

Because it's dangerous? I can understand that. My boys are here, and it's difficult to have them around knowing that there's things like zombies running around.
I do like the blue, though. Very dashing.

I can't imagine how hard it must be. [He's been close to those that he knows here, some are family just from a different universe. It's horrible to think that anyone he knows is here, but to have people on the level Bruce does. No thanks.]
There were zombies? Well, that's exciting. [Can you tell he means this? Because he means it so much.]
I thought so too. Not too in your face either.

[But his smile is a little... rueful, and contrary to the majority of his expressions, it's not quite feigned.]
Oh, there've been zombies, these ridiculous electronic ghosts, vicious monsters that felt like treating the local population as a sort of buffet. It's been... interesting, to say the least.

[One brow raises as the list is kicked off. From what he knows, people have been coming here for a year, and all of this has happened in that span of time. Back home he's used to things happening quite a lot, but he isn't sure that it's quite this much. There's a frown that quickly follows.]
That's certainly one word for it.

[He makes an amused little noise, and shakes his head.]
I wish it were otherwise, honestly.
['May you live in interesting times'. It's usually attributed to Asian proverbs, but it's actually an incorrect translation of the original. But it's still very much a curse.]
