[video]
Well, that was... quite the event, now wasn't it? I'd like to extend my thanks to anyone that helped clear out the infestation of those little creatures.
[Bruce tosses the camera a disarming smile, pushes a fountain pen out of the view of the camera. There's a slight shift in his demeanor, the sort that few people would be able to recognize much less understand. Batman has just hung up his Bruce Wayne hat.]
I'd actually like to address a matter that concerns us all. I notice there've been considerable tensions lately between the metahuman or powered individuals and those who are more commonly considered 'baseline'. It's my understanding that we're all here to help this world inasmuch as we can regardless of our abilities or beliefs. As with all things, there is always the potential for those with power to abuse that power, but it's my belief that the majority of individuals here deserve our trust equally as much as our respect.
[You owe him for this one, Clark. He coughs, and then brightens.]
Also, it's my understanding that the first wave of Foreigners began arriving a year and four days ago. I know many of you are missing your friends, your families, and others may have those friends or families with you. For better or worse, this place has been a prison, a home, a second chance to a variety of people, many of which are no longer with us. The community we've created here has been strong and each obstacle we've encountered we've overcome, together. And together is the only way we can move forward.
[He folds his hands on the desk in front of him, gives the camera a firm nod.]
On that note, Wayne Enterprises is always hiring, and my pharmecutical branch is available for anyone missing medications from their respective homes, so if you've any interest in working for or speaking with the longest-standing foreigner-run business on Tu Vishan, my office is in the Metal Sector, and I'm available between six AM and noon on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thank you for your time, Keeliai.

[Marta was a genius, to be sure, but Bruce has done most of the heavy lifting on his own. In her time here, she didn't go out of her way to talk or socialize much, so he can attribute to her whatever he damned well pleases with no one to contradict him. #Batlife.]
Re: video;
[Bart waves a hand to indicate the list could go on for quite some time, but then he realizes that there's a flaw in that particular imagining of how it came about.]
OK, chemical formulas and names. After awhile, they all sorta sound the same. Those are co-trimoxazole, tetracycline, and morphine.
[Someone is eager to prove that he is not always a complete idiot.]
video;
Tim never told me you were an aspiring chemist.
video;
I'm n- [There's a hiccup in the word, as Bart pauses and looks off somewhere to the right. His first instinct was to deny it, but in a way, it's kinda true. Crime labs have a whole lotta chemistry going on. So it's the truth, without being the original truth that he'd been intending to say, when his eyes snap back into focus on the screen.] -ot exactly an aspiring chemist? I think I wanna go into forensic science, work for a police crime lab.
[Too many follow-ups are hanging in the air, things like 'y'know, like my grampa' and 'like I did the last time', and Bart grabs the subject by the horns and wrenches it off on a 90 degree tangent.]
Besides. I read a lot, and sometimes [all the time] weird factoids stick with me.
video;
Oh? You must find it difficult to be here, then. What with most of the books being in the kedan language and all.
[He picks up on those nuances, dissects them. He's always known there's more to Bart - as there tends to be with every speedster - and Bruce... It's difficult for him to interact with children without their mentors here, because the instinct is always to look out for them. He frowns a little to himself after he's shut off the video feed, and then rests his chin against a closed fist in thought.]
