Well, that was... quite the event, now wasn't it? I'd like to extend my thanks to anyone that helped clear out the infestation of those little creatures.
[Bruce tosses the camera a disarming smile, pushes a fountain pen out of the view of the camera. There's a slight shift in his demeanor, the sort that few people would be able to recognize much less understand. Batman has just hung up his Bruce Wayne hat.]
I'd actually like to address a matter that concerns us all. I notice there've been considerable tensions lately between the metahuman or powered individuals and those who are more commonly considered 'baseline'. It's my understanding that we're all here to help this world inasmuch as we can regardless of our abilities or beliefs. As with all things, there is always the potential for those with power to abuse that power, but it's my belief that the majority of individuals here deserve our trust equally as much as our respect.
[You owe him for this one, Clark. He coughs, and then brightens.]
Also, it's my understanding that the first wave of Foreigners began arriving a year and four days ago. I know many of you are missing your friends, your families, and others may have those friends or families with you. For better or worse, this place has been a prison, a home, a second chance to a variety of people, many of which are no longer with us. The community we've created here has been strong and each obstacle we've encountered we've overcome, together. And together is the only way we can move forward.
[He folds his hands on the desk in front of him, gives the camera a firm nod.]
On that note, Wayne Enterprises is always hiring, and my pharmecutical branch is available for anyone missing medications from their respective homes, so if you've any interest in working for or speaking with the longest-standing foreigner-run business on Tu Vishan, my office is in the Metal Sector, and I'm available between six AM and noon on Mondays and Tuesdays. Thank you for your time, Keeliai.

[Come on, he had you on that one.]

[That one hit where it hurt, though. Blüdhaven always hit where it hurt. It probably always would, but that didn't mean the pain that hit him right in the chest didn't lessen.]
...I won't. [A pause.] I just remember really liking my jobs in Blüdhaven.
[If he had the choice, to do it all again? He would. Maybe take out a few mistakes, but even the big ones. He'd go back to it. To the gangs. To Blockbuster. To everything he hated, and loved, and the people within. To going back in to the city, as many times as he had, for as long as he had, for as long as he wanted. He would do it again.]
I mean, a lot of really good firsts in the city. I liked my jobs in New York, but I really liked the ones in Blüdhaven.

One fruit. One. Even if it staves off scurvy, there's a host of other health complications that can arise. I should have made you eat your vegetables as a child.
[90%]
[There's a notable pause after he switches the encryption over, and when he speaks his tone is... tempered.]
I know you did. I'm sorry it ended the way it did, Dick.
[He's never been able to shake that feeling of grief and dread and terror that gripped him when Chemo was dropped on the 'Haven. Losing another son, then, while someone that looked like Jason but spoke like a stranger taunted him would have broken him. He doesn't have the strength of character to deny it.]
I wish I'd visited more often before-- everything.
[It's a broad, calculated stroke, making statements like that psuedo-publicly. He means this one, but it's not something he could ever admit to Dick privately. Having a potential audience means he's acting for someone else. He just doesn't know who yet.]
Vegetables are the green things left over on the plate when you're finished eating, right?
[90%]
[You have to take a minute to become who you were. Luckily, Dick didn't have to calm down too much. He was pretty good at being both himself and not himself. Mostly because they were pretty much the same. He gives a nod.]
I know. [It had been shaping up to be a pretty nice place. There were a lot of mistakes along the way... a lot of them... but it really was becoming better. The worst part was that it was so sudden. There was no gradual loss, there was no 'I saw this coming'. It just happened. And everyone had to deal with the fall out.]
I wish you had too, though. It was a pretty nice place. Becoming one, anyway. [Who are you acting for, Bruce? He might not have picked up on the differences between true and false when he was younger, but he knew them now. But who was watching them act out the truth?]
[THAT IS THE PURE, UNADULTERATED EXASPERATION OF A DAD RIGHT THERE. Bruce rarely uses his full name for effect, at least publicly.]
[90%]
[Everything is smoke and mirrors with men who've worn the cowl, and Dick is hardly an exception to that rule. Bruce fiddles with something offscreen - Dick might recognize the sound of him scrolling between pages on his smartphone.]
Mm. Enough of that. I think it's about time we did a family dinner, don't you? I think this coming Thursday works quite nicely for me.
And so he had to laugh.]
[90%]
[Which turns into a cough as he stops the coughing, but there's still amusement there.]
You want to do a family dinner? [Little bit of disbelief, and he makes sure not to roll his eyes. Even here he had a very limited schedule.] Is this the whole family? Because I might be free then, but I don't have my schedule handy right this second.

[It's a gentle reminder. Cassandra is no longer here, after all. Even if Damian, (both) Dicks, Jason and Timothy were there, it would still be without his daughter. And Alfred. Bruce averts his eyes briefly, his expression almost slips into the mask he's more accustomed to.]
We'll see.

[Kate, too, don't forget her. Dick really needs to stop running his mouth and assess the situation better. Not that it's a really serious one. Then again, it's also Bruce, who's also Batman, who's very protective of family, much like everyone is. Not the time to think about it, because it shouldn't have been thought of. It should have been known.
But, as usual, he didn't act like he'd seen any kind of slip. But yeah, right, Jay would join all of them for a family dinner.]
At your place, or someone else's? My place isn't very big, but just give me a call... message the console, or whatever. I'll be there.

Mine. I'll contact you when I've made arrangements. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to do for food. Maybe everyone will get cornflake pizza.
[video] 90%
That's not healthy, you know. [He's such a smart ass.]
[video] 90%
[Rolling his eyes. Bruce can be a smart-ass too, you know.]
[video] 90%
Touche. [Touche, chum, touche.] I'll let you get back to work. I need to go find something to eat, now, I'm starving.
[video] 90%
[And with that, Bruce tilts his head a little, almost as if he's going to say something else but thinks better of it, and disconnects.]
