[After the sombre notes cast by Evandau, the feed coming up on the cheerful visage of Lieuen is something of a change. He is dressed to the nines and tips his bowler hat to the camera.]

I come bearing many thanks for the efforts that you, our wonderful guests, undertook to protect both Keeliai and her many citizens during a time of need.

Now, some might say that thanks for a job well done is its own reward, but-- [He winks.] --I feel that a little more is in order. I've spoken with the Alderwood Commander and he's provided me a list of names and feats that you wonderful Foreigners performed for us. Being a businessman of my word, each and every one of you that assisted should be receiving a visitor in the next few hours with payment and an extra special little gift to show my personal thanks.

[That said, he fishes a pocket watch out of his vest and checks the time.]

They may be running a bit late, alas. With such a long list to attend to, it took a spell of time to prepare everything. However, I've been assured that the inconvenient little curfew has been lifted, so worry not! My runners will not be detained en route.

[Suddenly, there's an unfamiliar voice on the network. Young, male, probably prepubescent and very, very familiar to some residents of Keeliai.]

These are some seriously nice digs. It's hard to believe that they have so many rooms "just in case," so I'm guessing this might be little more common than I was lead to believe. Do they employ kedan to wander around the Shell's Edge, plucking people out of the ocean? I wonder what you'd put on your resume: Plucker of Maybe Dead People Out of a Magical Ocean?

[The joke sounds slightly strained, but joking tends to make him feel a little more at ease.]

Anyway, I got the basic rundown from those kedan. Very friendly guys-- at least I think they were guys. But it'd be nice to have confirmation from more than one person. No offense to them, but I like cross-checking my sources.

And while we're on the subject: does anyone know anything about the Emperor? The kedan didn't speak about him too much.

So we're on a giant turtle then? The shopkeeper who gave me directions explained it to me...maybe he's Ton-chan's great, great, great, great, grandpa or something! Oh yeah, Ton-chan is a pseudo soft-shelled turtle! His nose looks like a little pig snout.

I wish I could have bought him with me - he would have probably liked to meet umm...what did they call him again...hmmmm.....well, I'll call him Mister Ton-chan for now I guess.

( it cuts off for a few minutes. when it turns back on, it's video now and a very fearful and serious yui can be seen )

Has anyone heard from my friends? Mio, Mugi, Ritsu, and Azu-nyan? Mister Ton-chan is so big and I don't know how I'll find them...( she begins to cry ) I just hope they're okay.

 [Kitty has spent most of her day trying to find out as much as possible since getting fished out of the ocean- but at the end of it, the kedan were amazingly unhelpful, there, before depositing her in her 'suite'. It's in a tree! She spent a bit of time exploring it thoroughly, since a part of her, Wolf, was comforted to an extent by this, somewhat more than she would expect, but now that that's over, it's time to get to finding out what exactly is going on.  So, to the console! Research is always helpful, as is poking out on your own...

She hesitates at first, but given the option, she'll always go with audio- she doesn't really feel up to video right now- even though it's been years since she's resolutely avoided the idea of being on camera, and going with something similarly familiar will definitely help.

Her voice sounds nice, relatively calm, and very present- definitely belongs to someone used to working on the audio side of things.]

Are we really on some kind of mystical between-states island sized turtle with a city on its back? [A very short pause of consideration.] I guess that  question marks me as new, doesn't it? Does anyone have any more information than what the kedan say? They weren't really helpful on that topic.
