( 'Trapped' was a word that Joan was not particularly pleased to hear. Never, in all the cases that she has worked, did being trapped have a good outcome. Victims were trapped. If she were a victim - if all these people were victims - who were they a victim of? What was the motivation behind it all? )

Look, I just got here and thought I'd ask a few things on here.

( She hadn't wanted to ask the others that brought her to where she'd be staying. Usually trusting her instincts, she had been patient about getting more helpful answers. )

Could anyone point me in the direction of the law enforcement around here? Or any type of hospital for that matter?

( Best to start with what she knew best. Getting to see how people were treated when they broke the law or if they were injured might prove to be useful. )

Local law enforcement is led by Commander Evandau. What do you want them for? [Look she has Issues with Evandau sometimes ok.]

The kedan have their medical shops with herbs and apothecaries, but there's a clinic run by Doctor Soranik Natu in the Earth Sector. It's a little more what most people are used to.

The work I do involves— involved helping the police with different cases. When I got here, the kedan said I needed to work so I thought I'd stick with something familiar.

Hi Joan. You'll probably have better luck dealing with the clinic, it's foreigners like us who deal with it so it's way more friendly. The law enforcement is.

Well, not so friendly? And they don't even like dealing with us most of the time sooo yeah [a shrug] still, like Annabeth said you should look for Evandau.

( one of the necessities of being a consulting detective is having law enforcement that's willing. it didn't seem like that was the case here. if she had the opportunity to meet evandau though, she would take it. )

What others have said is true - if it's work you're looking for, one of the foreigner-run clinics is your best bet. The local police force doesn't hire us, for the most part.

And, frankly, we need as many medical professionals as we can get.

There's a medical center in the Earth Sector. I'm a Dr. Holiday, so if you're hurt or sick, I can try to help you out the best way I can before helping you to the local practices.

I would say that as a just in case measure, but looking for the police and then a hospital doesn't cause for things to look very good.

From what he's caught on the network so far, on this post, she seems to him like a busy person. Time is money and of course Lex knows how to manage that. But police and anything of the matter interests him, and, well, someone in those affairs can easily become an unwanted acquaintance.]
