[Mark can be seen sitting at one of the many internet cafes in the Earth sector. With Eve gone, he had to go back to these to post to the network as Mark, as his console belongs to "Invincible". ~~Gotta try to have that secret identity.~~ He smiles and gives a dorky little wave.]

So uh, if we were back on Earth it would be pretty close to Halloween, wouldn't it? Uh, those of you from Earth, I mean.... And Halloween is nothing without horror movies--especially zombie movies. As I don't think moves are an option here, I'm trying to get my horror fix somewhere else. Suggestions??

[And with that important message out of the way, he changes the filter.]

You could get a friend to put up the zombies for you. I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy a haunted house.

[Heck, maybe he'll even offer to do it. It wouldn't take him long anyway. Though Mark does bring up a good point insofar as corn on the turtle goes.]

But corn...I'm not actually sure. They didn't have pigs so they might not have corn. [The important things in life.] But they must have some kind of tall crop here. We could always substitute that instead.

I think it would take more than just me and a friend to pull off a successful haunted house.

[Taps his chin in thought.] I can't remember seeing anything... whenever I've been out far enough to visit the farms.

B-But I really wasn't looking that hard, either.

[Barry tilts his own head in thought.]

I haven't seen much by way of cornfields either. [And he's circled the whole turtle several times by now.] But I wouldn't mind helping out with a haunted house, and I'm sure I could rope a few friends into helping as well.

[Ditto, but he has no idea how to phrase that without giving away the whole secret ID thing.]

That sounds kind of fun. I'd be game organizing it... if we can actually get it off the ground.

Hmm... We'd need a building... And I know just the guy to ask. [Working for Bruce Wayne has its perks.]

[One down, only a million more things to do.]

The building's the hardest part. And I don't see why we couldn't get it off the ground. We'll just need the right combination of spooky and fun.

[He sounds maybe a little too excited for this for a man in his late thirties.]

Might be easier to plan this kind of thing in person though, once we've got the building.

Sounds like a plan. Let me talk to my boss and secure something, and we can meet up.

Your boss must have pretty good connections if he's got spare buildings lying around.

[Mark smiles.] Well considering I help him put the buildings up, I have a decent idea of how many he hasn't put to good use yet.

[This mystery employer must be a rich guy if he's got that many buildings at his disposal. But Barry laughs, more than willing to let Mark take the reins on the project.]

Makes sense. I'll see if I can come up with ideas for rooms in the meantime, maybe rope some more people in.

[Like that ungrateful Green Lantern friend of his.]

I'd appreciate it. I mean without people we'd just have an empty building.

We could probably recruit a few of the kedan. How many haunted houses do you think they've been a part of here?

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say... none.

Then I'm sure they're all dying to experience a real haunted house.

[Actually that's a lie but he can pretend.]

Are there any kedan customs associated with this time of year? Maybe we can incorporate them in.

Ouch. Pun intended, I take it?

I have no idea. I suppose I can ask around.

I wasn't prepared for the masterpiece that was that pun.

[He accompanies the words with a small salute, though his tone implies that he's anything but serious. The thought of having to speak in public - be witty on the spot in public - is terrifying and Barry sincerely hopes he never has to do it ever while he's on the turtle. Or while living and breathing anywhere.

How Bruce and Hal manage to be so suave he'll never know.]
