[With Ariadne most definitely gone - awake, presumably, though Arthur still can't figure out how she could've woken up but he still can't - Arthur is now alone in this place.

In some ways, being alone opens up certain possibilities that he wouldn't have considered available as long as others were here that he needed to protect. It's just him, and he knows how to look after himself, and he doesn't have to worry about keeping stories straight or anything like that.

So how do you define neutrality? And what makes you neutral enough to make that call? Seems like it'd be pretty impossible to do, since no one is neutral. Which you should know, if you're human.

If I am aware that by providing information or assistance that I will aid one side over another, that is breaking neutrality. Should the aid break neutrality for the sole purpose of protecting humanity from the destruction at the hand of an outside entity, I would be able to provide my assistance. The Archive, a magical construct, makes it so that I cannot break neutrality. It is my understanding of the situation which lets the Archive decide what a stance of neutrality is, hence the reason I must know about your purpose before offering my assistance.
