001 ‡ Video
[There’s a handsome young man sitting in front of the console in a really tight t-shirt that shows off pretty much every muscle in his chest. For the moment, his eyes are a dark blue, and there’s a brooding look on his face. When he crosses his arms over his chest, people can see the leather gloves he’s wearing.
Jonah hasn't really wanted to use this thing, but he can recognize the advantage of being able to talk to people without actually being around them.] I have a couple of questions. First, is there a dry cleaners around here, or does anyone know how to get blood out of denim? Second, gloves. Where is the best place I can get a few pairs? Third, I’m in search of a sword. Any will do at the moment.
[His jaw clenches for a second, shoulders tense.] Another thing. If the words ‘Anchorage’, ‘savant’, or ‘weirstones’ means anything to you, let me know.

And getting blood out depends on how long it's been sitting there. [And probably what kind, but first things first.]

[He makes a face. Time is weird, how is he supposed to know.] Hours?

[Pause.] Always cold water, and that's sometimes enough if the blood's still fresh enough. If it's really settled in and dried, try baking soda. That's probably easier to find than ammonia in this place. [another pause.] It's human blood, right?
slams briefly in here
get out you
Baking soda. I'm guessing I should be able to find that at... Where? [This is probably the saddest moment of his life.
No, okay, stealing Emma's guitar after he kissed her to death was probably the saddest moment, but this is a close second.] It should be human blood. [Really, though, Jonah, you should be more worried about how this sounds.]
super rude
Bakeries? There's a lot of markets all over that sell any amount of supplies, though I couldn't tell you where in particular for this.
[She calls back a Shut up to the voice behind her, but then she sort of frysquints at the guy in the feed.] Should be? Is there a mystery here?
whater i'm the best
No offence.
nope
[And then the voice has a face, not that Jonah acknowledges him too much. Just a flicker of his gaze before he settles back on the blonde. He doesn't even really need to be near them to understand that they're close.] Maybe it's animal blood. I think your girlfriend here is the one that assumed it was people. You should probably be more worried about that than what I'm doing.

A smile flickers across his lips] Annabeth never misses the reasons for anything. I'm Percy, by the way. Welcome to the turtle, I guess.
no subject
[A nod of acknowledgment.] Jonah. Is this really a turtle?
no subject
Yes. His name is Asti. If you don't believe us, you can take a trip up to the head.

[He's honestly actually a little concerned they're talking to a crazy person, and a little of that shows in his expression. but he's not going to mention it, at least not in front of said potential crazy person] What she said. I've been all around him and inside his head, it's definitely a turtle. But...smart. Or wise, I guess. More than any of us.
no subject
Inside of his head?
no subject
[She shakes her head.] No. Not exactly. Going inside his head completely would be too much to handle.
no subject
Yeah that was - I didn't really explain it properly. But I can talk to sea creatures, and the last time I tried, he basically knocked me out with peace.
no subject
You. Talk to sea creatures.

It's a skill. [She says it kind of dryly, maybe teasingly, but he can handle this, because she's prickly right now.] Passed down from father to son.
no subject
And it's totally a skill. How many times has it saved your butt, huh? [Turning back to Jonah] I don't know what world you come from, but my dad is kind of...Poseidon. Turtle talking comes with the territory.

Like the god? [s k e p t i c a l]

[Annabeth rolls her eyes at her boyfriend.] I'm not exactly disagreeing. [And with a sigh:] Not like the god. Is the god.
