[ Jack looks slightly tired, as though he's been focusing on something for a while and is just worn out from it; in the corner of his screen he's rubbing the skin between his thumb and index fingers. But he still faces the camera with a smile and keeps his voice upbeat, lest give a bad impression on his intended audience. Baby Tooth is a jewel-toned glimmer of colour flitting around in the background. ]

So we've got some new arrivals after quite a while! I know it's a little weird to tell you "welcome" but I promise, I'm not being a jerk about it.

Pepper's not here now so, uhh... unless anyone objects I'm going to keep the welcoming committee together. Anyone who was on it before and still wants to be, or even if you've been here for a while but hadn't heard of it, it's basically what it sounds like. Helping the new people by showing them around, making sure they have everything they need. Most of us arrived missing people and items and, uh, sometimes usable clothes so... that sort of thing.

If you want to help out with it, tell me here, okay?

[ A pause, then he sobers a little. The second part is harder than the first. ]

It's not exactly coincidence since it's been going on for a bit, but there are also some other people who've left in the last few days. Merida and Hiccup are both gone, and maybe others. You can usually tell because their stuff is cleared out of their suites... if you've noticed anyone else, it's best to let others know.

[ He reaches for the button to turn off the feed, then seems to remember something else. ]

Um, if someone could make a text copy of all that, I'd really appreciate it. If I wrote all of that I'm not sure it'd be readable by the end.

If I weren't already doing what I am, I'd offer to help out. Maybe I can help you find someone though.

If you could keep an ear out, that'd be good. Especially for new arrivals... they can help out at the store while they find more permanent jobs.

Alright, I'll do my best to find you someone. I'd volunteer Santo but he sinks like a rock. [Trying to joke.]

[ Jack laughs anyway but then shakes a finger. ]

He shouldn't! I got him those foam things!

That's true. He'd probably scare off the fish anyway though.

[ Chuckling, Jack finally remembered to open the menu, holding it so that Baby Tooth could see it to. ]

Okay, let's see what they've got...

[Victor looks through the menu as well and grins when he finds what he's looking for.]

[He holds up his menu to point to a selection.]

It's the closest thing to a New York style pizza I've had since getting here but like...rolled up into some weird pizza bun. It's messy but it tastes great.

Really?

[ Jack's bright expression said it all and he put down his menu down. ]

I'm sold! How about it, Baby Tooth? Wanna try pizza in a bun?

Really. I was surprised when I had one at first but they're good.

[Victor was happy to see that bright expression. He wanted to make his friend happy.]

I've been meaning to ask...is Baby Tooth a winter spirit too?

[ Jack shook his head, grinning. Baby Tooth seemed to find it funny too. ]

No, she's a tooth faerie. One of Toothiana's helpers.

There's more than one Tooth Fairy? Wow.

[Vic smiles.]

So Toothiana has a lot of helpers?

Hundreds, at least.

[ Baby Tooth interjects here, a series or chirps and trills accompanied by some gestures. ]

She says that there's always as many tooth faeries as there needs to be for the kids.

[Victor looks surprised at that information. Baby Tooth's chirping gets a little confused look before Victor glances towards Jack for translation.]

Wow, there must be a lot then. Okay...I have to ask.

[He glances from Jack to Baby Tooth and smiles.]

And I don't mean any offense but...why collect teeth? Do you guys like...build things with them?

[ Jack laughed softly at the question, feeling a moment of deja vu. ]

No offense at all, I was asking that very same question about a year go. Turns out that inside of the teeth, your memories get stored.

[ A meaningful glance from Baby Tooth, recalling Jack's own reaction to his lost memories. ]

So they collect the teeth to keep the memories safe, in case people need to see them again later. To remind them...

[Victor blinks at this news, rubbing his jaw a moment. The concept seems strange but he believes Jack.]

I know a couple telepaths who would argue against that being possible. Kind of wish they were here just to see the looks on their faces if they hear it.

Pretty sure most of them would tell you Baby Tooth and I aren't real though, so I'm not sure we can count their opinion as accurate anyway.

One might try but he's a huge jerk in general so he'd do it just to annoy you both. The others have seen even more magic and godly stuff than I have and there's no way they could deny you're real.

[ Their orders are placed in the meantime and Baby Tooth is happy to get some milk in the thimble that Jack carries with him for use as a cup for her (Milk builds strong teeth, after all!) while letting the boys talk. ]

Sounds like someone needs a couple special snowballs.

[Victor smiles a bit and quirks a brow.]

Special snowballs, huh? What did you have in mind?

Those kind.

[ Jack smiled mirthfully, but in the end the tease was only that: Victor's friends weren't here and Jack would have to be careful about spreading any infused snow.

The food arrived and his face lit up again. ]

Hey, these look great!

Oh! One of those. [He chuckles.] Honestly I think he could use it. Right upside the head.

[The food arriving gets Vic grinning too.]

Just wait till you taste it then.
