Greetings. I am Commander Spock of the USS Enterprise, a Starfleet contingent of the United Federation of Planets. I understand that we are temporally isolated as well as spatially displaced and that this is not a subdivision of any one possible multiverse, neither a pocket dimension of any one universe, but a unique quantum singularity linking many and each possible variation thereof. If others here have scientific findings of this nature, I pre-emptively extend my gratitude in the event of any information being divulged.

[ AKA pls share ur theories. He's not human, in case anyone with eyes and ears missed the blatant memo staring them in the face, the approximation of what would happen were a dollop of raw science and a great jawline to get mixed with an elf in a blender. Spock pauses thoughtfully, glancing away, and a single slender brow arches when he looks back; there are likely a great deal of customs to be observed from numerous new species and races, none of which he seeks to offend. ]

It has been brought to my attention that this is not my first foray into Keeliai. While I would request that you exert a measure of patience with my ... freshly acquired outlook, you will find me amenable to revisiting former acquaintances. [ Again he hesitates, though this time it comes across as more of an amendment. If you've been hanging out with his BFF, prepare to explain why, how and to what end. ] Similarly, I wish to meet with any and all allies of Captain James T. Kirk at their earliest convenience.

All remaining Starfleet personnel are to submit a fully comprehensive report effective immediately regarding their time here. Audio will suffice, given the circumstances.

[ And off goes the feed. ]

Very well, I shall meet you there. If you have no preference of time nor any other matters to attend to beforehand, would meeting in one hour be acceptable to you?

[ She appreciates people who don't waste time. The Archive arrives after an hour as well, but under a veil so that she's both invisible and inaudible. Which is good for her because she breaks into a smile the moment she sees Spock. It's the overwhelming emotion from Jim's memories flooding into her that causes it, and it takes her a few moments to get herself back under control and push Jim's memories away again. This is her chance to meet Spock, she's not going to ruin it by letting the memories influence her too much.

With her blank expression back in place, she moves to stand a few feet directly in front of Spock and lowers her veil, suddenly completely visible. She's wearing a simple top and skirt, proper and well made but plain, with nice but sensible shoes. Everything about her from head to toe is proper and unremarkable, without a hair out of place. Not a common look for a girl of fourteen. ]

Thank you for agreeing to meet with me, Mister Spock.

[ She manages to catch the title she addresses him with this time. She uses special titles with no one, and it was the force of Jim's memories that caught her off guard last time. ]

[ Let's be real, she would be a fantastic Vulcan. She nods, both in agreement to the first statement and in understanding to the second. ]

The core of my ability as the Archive is that I immediately know and understand what has been written. As such I am a repository of five thousand years of written information. The Archive is a magcal construct passed from mother to daughter, so I am the current host of The Archive as my mother was before me. As per the saying that knowledge is power, the Archive has magic which can be applied in a wide manner of ways. One such is to create a veil so that those under the veil are undetectable to those outside of it, which I demonstrated with my arrival.

No, I am completely human. The Archive is similar to having an external memory source. It records the information and I can recall it at will. The Archive is received at birth and then the host grows along their normal course of any human. As such I can recall all the past lives of the previous Archives.

[ Including one James T Kirk. ]

[ She blinks and looks almost startled for a few moments before she catches herself and smooths it back away. That... hurt, if she's being honest with herself. It wasn't her fault and it wasn't her choice for that to have happened. In fact, she would rather that she simply kept the Archive to herself forever, even knowing she would lose the closeness she now has with Jim. For a second the Archive thinks she might not be able to hold in the sudden wave of sadness, but manages to do so with only a momentary twitch downward at the corner of her mouth. When she speaks her voice is as calm as before, but it definitely takes her longer than usual to do so. ]

It was not my intention nor my wish for that to happen. Another resident here has a magical accident which caused a variety of effects, one of them being abilities transferring from one individual to another. I would not have willingly given him the Archive to carry for any point in time. You have my word on that.

[ She knows. She saw him the day it happened, struggling to keep it all straight in his head. And she remembers it too, now that she has his memories. She knows exactly how he fought to keep himself float above The Archive, struggled against what was so counter to himself. And even though she knows it's a silly thought and without reason, she's suddenly afraid that The Archive will take Jim away from her the way it did her mother; that there was some sort of lasting damage done to him that is slowly eroding his mind. It makes her want to turn around and run to find Jim and make sure he's alright. Because she knows Soock through Jim and she knows he doesn't lie and she believes him, without question. After a pause she takes a breath, slightly shaky, but seems otherwise still calm. ]

I will do what I can, if he desires it. I will not act against his wishes. But you have my promise.

[ That's shaky ground. Of course she knows how to do that. Wizards are researchers, they write things down, and she knows what they've written. But she has to follow the Laws, and that sort of magic usually has one outcome: a beheading. ]

In theory. I know such magic and have the skill to perform it, however I can only do so in very specific circumstances. The third of the Seven Laws of Magic forbids the invasion of another's mind. I would require both his agreement and his complete understanding of what I would do before undertaking any acts of psychomancy.

[ And even that would be pushing it. The only safe choice when it came to psychomancy was to simply leave it be. ]

[ She nods. Honestly, she prefers not to do that sort of magic even if she could exploit technicalities to make it legal. There's a solid reason as to why it's illegal, messing with someone's head also messes with your head, and she isn't sure how she would deal with the side effects of it. ]

You are from a period more advanced than mine, but should you desire, I have all written methods of psychology poor to approximately 2013. Papers, experiment data, books; anything written I can recall at will with complete comprehension. I doubt I will find new information here, but I will be aware of it.

I am also able to transcribe any information you may desire. It would take only as long as it takes me to write.

[ It's not like she has to think about the information, she's perfected simply filtering straight through the knowledge in her mind to the things which are useful. ]

And no, I do not need any assistance. As I do not need to travel by car, I am able to completely function on my own. Thank you for asking.

[ No need for a chauffeur here, and there are few people powerful enough to not slow her down should danger arise. ]

Very well. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you.

[ She's more than happy to end this conversation. It was hardly the one she was looking forward to when they first agreed to meet. ]
