[Well, here's a face that might be familiar to some people. Looking entirely perplexed by life, even though she knows what's going on. It's just taking some time to sink in, and she's rushed to send out a message because there's some people she desperately hopes are still around.]

So. I was here before. But...then I wasn't? I was here, but I left, and now I'm back again.

[Cue a very confused and frustrated Rose. Her cheeks puff out a little on the tail end of a sigh, and she gives a shake of her head.]

Typical timey wimey stuff, then. Same as always. Even without the Doctor around, it always seems to happen. Which is just great. Really, it is.

[Cue the most sarcastic smile ever. It doesn't last long, however.]

Those of you that don't know me, I'm Rose Tyler. [Have a big, warm, sincere smile and a handwave.]

Anybody out there that does know me? Go on and check in, would ya? Don't make a girl worry 'bout whether or not you're still around.

[There she is, with her infectious smile and her light pouring out everywhere. Kyle almost reaches out to touch the screen (he doesn't, but the desire is strong).]

You can argue that when I've found you.

[It'll be the same cafe they first met at, he just has A Feeling.]

[It indeed is the first cafe they met at, and that fact isn't lost on her as she slips outside to wait for him. She's on high alert, her eyes scanning through the crowd until they finally fall on him approaching.]

Kyle!

[She calls out his name, giving a laugh and a bounce as she just grins and grins. And after taking in the sight of him (although it barely feels like it's been that long since she's seen him, but she knows that's not the case for him) she takes off at a run to tackle him in a tight hug.]

Found you.

[Technically speaking, anyway.]

[imaginate]

[He's in civvies instead of his uniform, that's the only difference, and he grins widely as he spots her, already opening up for a hug.]

Yeah, yeah, you got me.

[He spins her around, regardless of whoever's watching.]

You look exactly the same, it's incredible.

[refusing]

Why wouldn't I look the same?

[She knows the answer to that, really she does. She just chooses to act ignorant to the fact that time could've passed for her, when really not all that much had at all. She clings hold of Kyle for a while longer, giving him a tight squeeze. A kiss is pressed to his cheek upon pulling out of the hug, and she takes a moment to look him over.]

It's hardly been any time at all, not for me.

[imaginate]

[He knows. He puts it away, because Rose is here and everything's immediately lighter, and kisses her cheek back. There's a short bit of insincerity, because he's not himself thanks to the inability to feel fear that's persisting from the recent transition to ghost and back.]

Well, you're still gorgeous. C'mon. Let's go find Jim and Clara, they'll be overjoyed.

[refusing]

You flatterer, you. [Laughing, she playfully hits at his arm.] That's what you are.

[She doesn't mind it one bit though, and she takes hold of his hand to drag him off at a run.]

Jim first, then we'll all go and get Clara. She won't know what to do with herself, with the three of us showing up together.

[imaginate]

You love it.

[He lets himself be tugged, the familiarity of it joyful and painful at once.]

I can't wait to see his face when he knows you're back here.

[refusing]

[She can't wait to see the look on his face either, so Rose nearly runs the entire way to his flat. The path is memorized, and she goes faster and faster until she actually is running. Her hand pulls out of Kyle's at that point, and she's a blur moving through the streets, until at long last she's at Jim's front door, banging at it wildly.]

Come on, let us in!

[jirk]

[Jim is sleeping. Or rather, was. He'd pulled a late shift at the bar, crashed on the couch, and Kyle'd left him alone for the most part anyway. Apparently he could move quietly when he needed to, who knew? Lanterns.

But the banging, now. That's a whole other story. Jim jolts awake when he hears it, and actually pitches himself off the side of the couch, expecting to be on his bed upstairs. One rough tangle with the coffee table later, and he. Clues into the fact that there's a voice accompanying that racket.

A familiar voice. One that seizes his heart and makes it hard to breathe, chases the oxygen from his lungs. He gets back to his feet at warp speed, runs for the door (stubs his toe on a chair along the way, half-hops the remainder of the distance with a loud, enthusiastic expletive) and then he rips the door open and just. Stares at her a moment.

Rose.

For all that they'd managed without her, when she left it was like a bomb was dropped on all of them, leaving a wasteland where her warm presence used to be. It's been a wound, for him, for Kyle and Clara. Even Jack, although he's no longer here, and Jim can barely even believe it. She's back.

(She has so much she needs to do, there are so many things back home for her--)

But he doesn't care. He just launches himself at her in the biggest hug of the century and man, he doesn't plan on letting go for anything.]

[She can't help but laugh and laugh at his reaction, out of joy more than anything. She clings hold of him just as tight as he does her, burying her face up against his shoulder for quite some time. Such a large part of her is desperately happy that he's missed her, even if it didn't feel like she was gone at all from her point of view. For them, it had been long enough to create an upset, and it feels nice.

It makes her realize there's more out there for her than just the Doctor, which is a good lesson to learn right away, given she's currently here without one again.

But that doesn't matter right now, because she has Jim wrapped up in her arms, and she lifts up her legs in the midst of her laughter, just long enough for him to actually have to hold her.]

Missed me, then? Good t'know.

[She lifts her head then, glancing over at Kyle before offering Jim a big and bright smile.]

[imaginate]

[Kyle gets dragged along and protests (loudly!) on the trip but this is what he missed most, Rose running somewhere and all of them trying to keep up with her, and so there's just a delighted smile on his face when Jim finally gets to the door and hugs her. Part of his family's back together. Sometimes, this place makes things better.]

[jirk]

[He kisses her hair and laughs, spinning her in a playful circle before he sets her down and ruffles her hair. She's back! You bet he's grinning like a loon.]

You even have to ask?

[He holds out a hand to Kyle, too, to drag him into this cuddlepile because the gang's half together again and life is awesome right now.]
