Video; In which cold weather is clearly the best!

[Everyone gets to see two familiar faces this time, with a couple of twists. Dick (the elder) is sitting down in the chair, wearing a bright red coat with white trim, a hat of the same color, and of course, a beard to match the whole thing. It’s pulled down, though, so you can see his face. And his wonderful assistant, Zatanna, is standing behind him, dressed up like the most beautiful elf there is. They’re both looking pretty happy about this.]

It’s getting cold out! And what does cold mean? Holiday fun, of course. So I, and my amazing elf assistant here, have decided that Santa Claus needs to come to the turtle. [See what he did there? See it? Okay, good.]

And so it is with pleasure that we let everyone know-- [He gets cut off as Zatanna leans forward, and he looks up at her.]

[The fifteen-year-old elf bends down until she's level with his ear, covering her mouth so she could whisper something secretively to him.]

Really?

[She nods, and offers a playful wink.] Trust me. I know a guy who knows the guy personally.

[Dick looks back at the screen, and his voice drops into a perfect, heavy Russian accent.] Is this better?

[She practically has to bite her tongue to keep from bursting out laughing. Impressive. She should've known.] It'll do.

[Dick grins.] I’d like to invite everyone to come over to the Wood sector, where we have a little holiday party going on.

[He stops, laughing and shaking his head. He has to drop the Russian accent.] Okay, I can’t keep that one up, but I tried! Anyway, we’ve got a small thing going on in a café in the Wood sector, with some cakes and gingerbread-ish things, and some hot drinks. And what would Santa be without his...

[He holds up a huge, red velvet-like bag.] Bag, yes! And it is filled with little odds and ends, so there are presents for all!

[Dick sets the bag down, and pulls the beard back up with a grin.] And to all, a good... day? Yeah, that still works. To all, a good day! Remember, café in the Wood sector, we’ll be here awhile!

[ooc: Action is absolutely welcome.]

You might want to tone the enthusiasm back a little bit. I think I'm getting a little overwhelmed by all the holiday cheer.

Sorry, sorry. I just... You really went for the whole deal, didn't you?

What can I say? We both have a knack for the center stage spotlight.

[And with their powers combined...it's Christmas Magic~]

So that's what the Christmas magic thing was always about? Suddenly it all makes so much sense. Santa the magician.

[He is teasing, but he does smile a little more fondly as he says that.]

I guess we could use a bit more cheer, too. But do we all have to dress up?

Actually, I'm the magician behind the suit. He's more like the figurehead.

And no, you don't have to dress up if you don't want to. Though we wouldn't say 'no' if you did want to. Just try not to show us up, deal?

That makes a lot of sense. The elves do all the work.

[Okay, Tony does laugh at that.] What would I have to dress up in to show you two up? I get the feeling I'd need to come in something lighter to impress anyone.

Something flashy, maybe.

We bypassed on the lights and sequins this time around.

I think I'll pass on the sequins, but if you want flashy lights I can deliver.

[Although is that really a good idea? Tony smirks, because the only thing they are really missing are fireworks.]

Should I go grab my sunglasses?

[Bring it]

How about I just let you soak in the moment?

[He's grinning now, because this is really just what he needs. A good exercise.]

Give me a few minutes and I'll swing by.

[He says that lightly, and when he waves and disconnects it seems normal enough.

When he shows up, however, it's in the armor. And he flies pretty low when he passes the first time before circling back to fire off some small flares into the sky. Not quite fireworks, but it'll do for the moment.]

[Nice.]

[Of course, one of the (many) benefits to being in possession of magic powers was the ability to summon certain necessities at a moment's notice. Such as the aforementioned sunglasses, which were green around the rims and rose tinted and totally matched her outfit.]

You've done this before.

[He lands with more of a flourish than usual just for her benefit. Hey, he's allowed to show off on Christmas. And since she summoned sunglasses, Tony assumes that she's used to seeing unusual things.]

One or two times. I usually have a lot more on hand, but that's good for a start.

[Oh, Tony, if only you had any idea of what she's used to seeing.]

That's a relief.

If that's all you had, I would've questioned your endurance. Parties like these tend to last a while, you know.

[He would probably have problems with it. But then again, he's used to some pretty weird things too.]

Well, the back up is less fun and games and more "going out with a bang". I'm not sure that's how you want to end your party. I think I can come up with something, though.

[He's teasing just a little, but that's because she's teasing him. It makes everything more fun that way.]

Hey, as long as we all survive the bang, I'm down.

Just make sure Santa knows what you're doing. Wouldn't want to give the poor guy a heart attack at his age.

Hey, we'll survive. We've already survived way worse and I'm a professional.

[And also not going to shoot off missiles for the sake of it. That would just be rude. And expensive. Which is something he has to think about now.]

Oh, I'm sure Santa can handle a few surprises. He is a man who does impossible things after all.

[Poor Tony. Having to actually think about money.]

If he's anything like the version of him I know from home...this is true.

[He's had periods where he's tried it before, but being broke. That's been pretty rough for his nature.]

Really. So you're not from the same place? I kind of figured since you seemed to get along so well you were from the same world.

Nope. Different worlds. Where he's from, he barely even knows me.

I guess you could say there was just something about him, though. There was no way we wouldn't get along.

You do have a special sort of chemistry, I'll give you that. Maybe you just have the same taste. You certainly seem to be sharing a sense of style.

[Just saying. What with the costumes and all.]

Well, you know what they say. No business like show business.

[And no bond could be stronger than the bond of mutual stage brats who grew up in the spotlight.]

So what you're saying is that I should be taking pictures.

Just promise to get our good sides, and we might even autograph it for you.

Oh, now you're making it a real holiday. We're one step short of a private performance, but that'll be fine.

[Show offs are the best. He likes getting to joke with them.]

[The man is easily old enough to be her father, and she doesn't even care; she winks playfully at him. Knowing there was that mutual understanding that it was just playful, and nothing more.]

Can't speak for Santa here, but that could be arranged.

[Any chance to perform. She sort of missed it.]
