[It's hard to be sure of the camera's angle, but it's definitely propped up somehow, with the speaker hanging upside-down from the ceiling, because why not. Scrawny, scruffy, in his early teens, and some kind of fuzzy, blue elf-demon. When he speaks, it's with a clipped Brooklyn accent.]

So... the turtle is new and different. I've done space whales, but not reality-turtles.

Anyway. Longshot, but any of my team here? Lookin' for a General James Howlett especially, or Miz Alison Blaire? ...Hercules? ...Emmaline Frost-Summers? I mean, she doesn't even like me and I think she's a goddess now, but worth a shot.

Guessing not, though, so does anybody need somethin' fixed? Because I hate being bored, and unless somebody's got a mission that needs doing, I'mma be a huge pain in the butt.

If you got a functioning electric motor working here, I'm sure you'd make a mint.

Is there a reason that hasn't happened? I mean, simple batteries and basic mechanics are kinda limiting when it comes to materials, but is there too much magic going on or something?

I think it's lack of materials and the inventor types being distracted.

Materials are definitely a pain, but I could do some real simple stuff from the ground up...

If you need help gathering materials, I could try to lend a hand.

It'd definitely be cool if you knew where to look. I mean, if it's really all pre-industrial around here I might be limited to making potato clocks for a while, but we could always try and be creative.

I know where to find some things. Can't promise I'll find everything but I learned where to get some stuff while looking for things I'd need for my job here.

Awesome. I really need to learn to get my post-apocalyptic scrounge on.

Thankfully we're not quite at post-apocalyptic here but that is a good skill to have.

That is an advantage for any universe.

I don't know, I get the feeling it wouldn't be that helpful in every universe.

I've been to a couple of worlds that ended before I got there, and I gotta say I have never been a fan.

There'd be a problem if you were. I mean, most people that are fans of ended worlds tend to be the super villain sorts.

That and it involves Nazis, like, surprisingly often. Ew.

Definitely ew for involving Nazis. Nazis make everything ew.

I just find it weird that they happen so often. Howlett was the only one of us from a world without them, except for Cyke, who I guess was before them?

They're like roaches. They're everywhere.

There's probably some universe where they are roaches.

I really don't want to see, visit, or be visited by that one then.

Eh. Can't be worse than chitinous psychic aliens convincing you you're in a world of cupcakes and ponies.

[He stares a moment.] Was there a reason they did that or was it just for giggles?

Um, throw us off the scent, I guess. Being evil. That was a really stupid world. Not cool.

[Considering he'd just been coming off that visit to his home reality at the time, his memories of the especially trippy incident aren't that sharp.]

Okay, being evil explains it enough. Definitely not cool.

[It's nice to declare a plane of existence "stupid" and not get called out for sounding like an idiot, at least.]

So yeah, I'm feeling like giant turtle with vague menacing presence is basically a vacation.

Hold onto that feeling for as long as possible. You'll miss it when it's gone.
