[Maybe it's in bad taste. Maybe it's in bad taste and Eridan really does not give a shit. He's heard the news, and is delighted by it, to be perfectly honest. She was nothing but a disrespectful cur, and the news of her death has left him elated to say the least. When the feed turns on, he's sipping a hot cup of tea (pinky extended), of what type is anyone's guess, but he looks amused as ever.]

I say the bitch got what was comin' to her.

[He takes another long sip. He feels no need to disclose who, when it's probably obvious to anyone with a working think pan.]

Just goes to show that maybe there is some modicum a justice in this place.

[His statement is largely ignored from her, though she did listen and Korra hesitates for only a moment before she turns around. Spock had helped her and as angry as she was, she knew the last thing she needed to do was destroy another building; especially a suite.]

[finding Korra was easier than he thought it would be. If they didn't want anyone to know where they lived, Korra had just about given it away to everyone. Which meant he needed to calm her down-- because this guy wasn't worth it.

He was fast enough, just she had a pretty serious head start on him. When he saw her, he wasn't sure what she'd done, just yet. So, yelling her name was instinctive]

[He grins at that. What a fool. Mako goes completely ignored, but mainly because he doesn't really hear much more than a muffled yell from outside. He doesn't hesitate for a moment to draw his wand upward and aim it right at her back, light concentrating around his arm and wand as he shoots off a stream of holy energy that crackles like muted thunder at its own eruption. Better move fast, Korra.]

Action; Eri>Korra>Mako!

[The shout grabs her attention and when she sees Mako, it hits that she completely left without telling him anything. Her impatience and temper getting the best of her, and she feels a pang of guilt since she asked him to stay with her.

All of this meant she stopped paying attention to anything else, her guard’s down entirely.]

[Korra's guard might be down, but Mako's isn't, and all it takes is a step to grab her hard, to pull her out of the way.

While he was coming to de-escalate the situation, that tempts him to fight back. He could pop off a good thing of lightning as soon as he got his balance. But, no.

This was a pointless fight.]

[Eridan glares when she dodges the attack, or rather, Mako aids her in such a feat. His arm is still extended, wand firm in his grasp as he eyes the two of them, a snarl to his lips, fangs exposed.]

Seems you didn't need my help to find this place after all, huh? Look, you ain't part a this, so I suggest you leawe us to our duel, or you'll hawe to face the bloody consequences.

[That sure is a sudden yank out of nowhere. After figuring out what just happened, Korra turns to look at Eridan and opens her mouth to start yelling; but instead gets cut off by Mako.

After what he just did, Korra bites back her words and just crosses her arms instead. The last time she felt this out of balance with herself, she almost killed Jim; and by proxy Mako too.]

[does it look like he needed your help. Korra left a path for him that was pretty easy to follow. Instead of looking at Korra, he was going to focus on Eridan. Korra was a known entity to him, he could predict how she'd react right then.

Eridan, not so much, and despite all the bluster, he wasn't sure what the hell he'd just tried to attack Korra with.]

The duel's canceled. Sorry for bothering you. Come on, Korra.

[he nudges Korra along. He wants her to leave first, just because if she started walking away, it was easier to keep her walking away]

[He stays posed as he is for a few more seconds, appraising them from the looks of it, before he finally lowers his arm.]

Fine. Got more important shit to do than entertain her anyway. [He shrugs.] You'd do well to keep her on a leash, 'cos next time I won't be so generous.

[He isn't about to turn his back on them though, a backstabber knows better than that. So he watches them carefully as they leave. Sorta disappointing, in a way, but he really isn't in the mood for a drawn out, overdramatic duel right now.]

[A loud barking gets Korra's attention and Naga pads up to lick her face. Leash makes Korra's back hunch up while she's getting on the saddle, as if hackles were lifting it and her shoulders. Her fingers become taut and the only thing she can grab a hold of is Mako's hand to help him up.]

[Mako was vaguely proud that Korra had decided to keep on walking after that taunt. He can imagine a time where she wouldn't have, and it would have been ugly.

He stands, and keeps a sidelong look at Eridan. They were both apparently as mistrustful of each other, but not enough for Mako to say anything back to what Eridan said.
