Leo respected this man, which means Leonardo is inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. Besides, Leo has seen far ruder boldness from people who were only worried about the ones they cared for.]

He isn't sick or injured. No harm has come to him - this I swear to you. [His gaze flits downward and to the side.] The news we have to share... it has to do with something else entirely.
