Alright, from what I hear this place is in need of heroes and the like. So much so in fact that they’ve started kidnapping people right off the street. Now I don’t mean to criticize your emperor, but that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Generally it’s considered good manners to ask someone for help instead of just grabbing them by their short and curlies and just dragging them off somewhere.

[He wags his finger in a very ‘you should be ashamed of yourself’ manner.]

Maker, at least people in Kirkwall gave me the illusion of choice before asking me to do something stupid and dangerous. They usually pay me too.

Yes we have dragons. There was a time when people thought they were all gone. Now they're all over the place.

All sizes really. I've seen some as small as a dog and one as big as a manor.

None that I've seen, but I wouldn't doubt they exist somewhere. We used to have griffins once. Not sure where they went off to.

[There's no hiding she's a little disappointed. Griffins get her back to excited again though.]

Very good question. Some people think they might be dead, but then again that's what they thought about the dragons. Me? I think they just got sick of us and took a vacation.

[She chuckles at that.]

Oh yeah, I bet they're hanging out at some tropical beach resort, sipping cocktails with little umbrellas in them.

[Sure Hawke barely knows what she's talking about with that but it's still enough to make him chuckle too.]

If that's what they're doing then they need to come back just long enough to take me with them.

[Hawke smiles back. She's a cute kid. He hasn't got a clue why a kid like her would even be here but she must have someone looking after her. Right?]

Yes, it wouldn't do me any good to get a ride and then be thrown off mid-flight for insulting it. I can do many things but flying isn't one of them. At least not yet.

A circus is a big traveling show with performers and people who can do these crazy awesome tricks and stunts and stuff. None of it's really normal? Like, most people couldn't do it. Some of it's kinda weird but mostly what they do is insane and really cool to watch.

[Hawke is silent for a moment, and then just starts to laugh.]

Yes I think that describes us perfectly.

[Except with more killing involved but he can just leave that out.]
