Alright, from what I hear this place is in need of heroes and the like. So much so in fact that they’ve started kidnapping people right off the street. Now I don’t mean to criticize your emperor, but that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Generally it’s considered good manners to ask someone for help instead of just grabbing them by their short and curlies and just dragging them off somewhere.

[He wags his finger in a very ‘you should be ashamed of yourself’ manner.]

Maker, at least people in Kirkwall gave me the illusion of choice before asking me to do something stupid and dangerous. They usually pay me too.

Since I’m here I may as well play along. Chances are this is all some kind of Fade...dream...thing, so what’s the worst that can happen? Besides the possibility of demonic possession.

I agree. Whatever I think of the Emperor here, at least he's not an idiot. The previous one wasn't either.

Never had much faith in hearsay. After all, you should hear some of the stories they tell about me.

Good or bad?

That depends entirely on who you're getting the story from. I flip flop between hero and menace. Suppose that makes me a menacing hero. Or a heroic menace. Whichever sounds better.

At least you get to be the hero sometimes.

Not a role you get to play often?

People don't tend to think people who look like I do are heroic. Except, possibly, here.

You could always try for a new look. Maybe try a hat.

I'd have to take the hood off my cloak.

Or pull the clock over your head and then put the hat on. We can work this out.

That seems like a fashion faux pas.

It could be the start of a new trend. You never know.

Do you really think I'm a likely trendsetter?

You never know. Honestly with some of things I've seen people wear and do in Orlais anything is possible.
