[Console, whatever. Sure she got the run down on the thing but Mai's pretty much been ignoring it for the past day. She hasn't even bothered to really look on the network itself even if she has no intention of making an entry to it.

Now she's bothering though, mainly because she just wants to ask:]

So explain this war business to me again. Or at least try to convince me why I should care. Because right now? I really can't find much inside to say I should.

[She pauses, waiting to see if he continues the first question. When he doesn't, she answers the second.]

A day. I hadn't bothered to look at these console things before now.

And of course she wouldn't bother before this point. It's probably lucky for him she bothered at all. ]

[ A short pause now. ]

Then I guess you already have a pretty good idea of what's happening here right now.

For the most part. Supposedly we're riding on an absolutely giant turtle [which she doesn't really believe, of course] and there's a war going on with some person we can't name for some reason.

And I'm guessing this is some weird version of a spirit world, at least the way the whole 'between life, death and dreaming' thing was stated.

Yeah... that's basically it.

[ Maybe not the weird version of a spirit world part, but he's not entirely sure what this world is. It's not like he's thought to ask Korra about it, and since Aang won't speak to him he doesn't have his resident spirit world expert to give him a better idea of what is happening here. ]

As far as I know. I haven't exactly heard the things they tell every new arrival.

[There's the slightest of amused breaths at that. There's something of faint bitterness in there, though she's not exactly vitriolic.]

I'm amazed you heard it when they told you personally, much less anyone else.

[ His hand waves across the screen for a minute, blocking the view of his face for a few seconds. ]
