[Behind Luke is an organic-looking wooden wall, possibly recognizable as part of the console alcove in one of the Wood sector suites. He's evidently settled into his new quarters and it didn't take him long to figure out the technology of the console.

It's a bit archaic compared to what he's used to but it's simple enough. He would fiddle with it and see if he can give it an upgrade but he's been warned about the anti-tampering system in place, so he won't. For now.]

Hello. My name is Luke. [He intentionally leaves out his last name. Luke has no idea who he might meet here and his family's name has become associated with a lot of unpleasant things as of late. Better to be safe.] I've just arrived a couple weeks ago and the map of the city that I was given is helpful but not quite what I need at the moment. I want to ask if anyone takes regular trips up to the turtle's head and wouldn't mind a travel companion. It sounds like a place I'd like to visit soon.

I'd also like to offer my services. Where I come from I'm a guardian of the peace. Not necessarily affiliated with any government or law force... freelance, if you will. I help because I can. Please, call on me any time.

[Now that his powers have returned and he's had a few healing sessions Luke feels in much better sorts to be offering such services without hesitation at his own abilities.]

[He's assuming "guardian of the peace" is code for "vigilante", "mercenary", or "hitman". While only the first two apply to him, he assumes he's at least barking up the right tree.]

[Luke can immediately sense the confusion having dealt with plenty of Dante's sort in the past. Still, he's not one to immediately out or judge a person so he'll just gently let him down for now.]

I don't charge money for my services so I'm afraid I can't help you there. Sooner or later I'll have to find another reliable source of income. Doing what I'm not sure of yet. [Because Luke's definitely no assassin.]

[Even if Luke spoke up, there's nothing to "out". Dante plans on being transparent about the fact that he does some pretty shady work on his home world. More importantly, he doesn't kill ordinary humans, and that means the natives of this world. Until he slips up or acts out against something benign but inhuman, Luke's got nothing on him.

In the meantime, he's not above having an ambiguously shady discussion.]

Fair enough. There's a bit of a buyer's market when it comes to these kinds of things. I guess that's what happens when your leader summons a whole bunch of warriors and let's them loose. I should probably change jobs, but I like what I do too much.

Only if you mean strictly sparring. I don't like picking fights with people for no good reason. It draws too much unwanted attention.

Hi, I'm Luke. [He hasn't guessed that she saw the video so he gives his name again anyway. He smiles warmly in greeting and reaches out to shake her hand.] I tried to catch you earlier but I guess we were out at different times.

I've been kind of busy lately, so I'm not around the suite as often as I used to be. But I saw you talking about the turtle's head. I used to visit there a lot, but it's been a while since I've done that now, too. If you like I could take you there.

Of course. My powers are mostly extra-sensory, psychic abilities of varying kinds. I'm also well-versed in many different methods of combat. Why do you ask? Out of curiosity or is there something I can help with?

Mostly curiosity, but also to ascertain whether or not you might be of assistance at my current place of...work.

[Employment might have been more accurate, although it seemed strange to use such a label when her original bosses had long since left the Turtle. Leaving her in charge by default.]

I spent the majority of my time in the resident foreign-run laboratories. We conduct multiple experiments in the fields of science and technology in hopes of developing new systems that might be of aid to us.

Depends on what you mean by a lot. I work at the hospital and lately we've had a constant influx of people lately so I've been kind of busy. But I make time once a week or so.
