[Annabeth is on the screen - she's cut up in a few places, like something shattered too close to her face, but it's healed over a few days; her expression is steely and hard. More bad news, and that's just brushing the surface.]

I know the location of Evastelei. I'm not telling you where. [She pauses. She hates potentially using the network like this - she knows Malicant must be watching, so part of that you is definitely at him. But she needs help here. There might be someone who can figure out what's up with Eva, or maybe even a way to help. It doesn't make it any less nerve-wracking.]

But she's unconscious. She has been, since our city-wide collective blackout. [Her mouth draws into a line. It's risky, admitting her state (again, because of Malicant; she never did figure out their exact connection). But nothing is going to change if she keeps it to herself. Maybe he already knows.] We need to wake her up. If anyone thinks they might - know something about magical comas, please tell me.

[She's also aware that her tone, her words, all of it implies some sort of relationship with Eva. For the first time she's somewhat admitting to it publicly, she's not quite so nervous. Maybe it's because she feels like she's been laying low lately, and there are more new faces around than familiar ones.]

[She 'hmmms'.] It could be magical. It probably is magical.

[A sigh.] It sounds like it could be worth trying to me, too. But I'd have to check in. There are... some other people involved. [The kedan woman, for one, but at least Annabeth feels comfortable enough admitting that to Raine. She knows the woman is a healer already - it'd be stupid to ignore that.] If we could figure out what it was that caused all of us to get knocked out, it might be more of a lead.

Can you get a read on that sort of thing, in an examination?

I do understand your hesitance.

[Raine... has theories, but none she's sure enough to voice to Annabeth. She looks faintly troubled for a moment, is all, and finally just shakes her head.] No, I'm not that precise. At best I can pick up elemental inclinations. I'm a healer, not a doctor. [The distinction isn't one that always gets made, she's found, but it's an important one to her.] I might recommend "Gazelle" for that, however, if you know him.

If nothing can be done on their end, sharing her location seems like a minute worry compared to figuring out what's wrong with her.

[She shakes her head.] I'm not sure. What can he do, exactly? Is he a healer?

That's true, but she is vulnerable right now, and I'd be loath to risk widely spreading knowledge of her location unless there were no other option.

[Especially with the state of things right now.]

Not by his own world's standards, though I believe he's learned some waterbending. I mention him because he has an ear for what he calls 'biorhythms', and a particular skill for diagnosis. I don't know for sure if he can detect magical as well as physical anomalies, but it may be worth inquiring.

Exactly why I'm not sharing it with anyone yet. [She told Frank, but that's about it.]

[She make a face over 'biorhythms,' still not sure she buys it.] I'll keep him in mind, if I run out of other options.

[She'd still rather someone she knows than someone she doesn't, should she bring anyone else to Eva's house. There's a lot for her to consider right now.]

[Raine nods, acknowledging that. She can understand the suspicion.]

All right. If you do want me to try, I can do so at your convenience; this is a particularly important manner. It's also possible I may be able to coordinate magically with another healer, but that isn't something I've had cause to attempt here yet.
