Has anyone else tried... talking to the ghosts? They've been pretty reactionary to me so far, limited responses and the like, and I've been assuming that's the case across the board.

[There's the sound of a chair being moved, and she looks pointedly annoyed at something off screen for a moment, then comes back and purses her lips.] The one here's more annoying than anything else.

[A sigh and she blows air up at some of the hair in her face.] Also, the kedan keep talking about making landfall soon. I've been asked to pick up some things, but I was wondering what people might have heard about the land itself? I've gotten a little of the general layout already, and where to look for certain resources, though I'm sure there's more to it, and maybe they all know different pieces or things about it.

[Thoughtfully:] No, I haven't heard much, just that it's dangerous, which is kind of a given.

That's mostly what I've been getting. Dangerous. But I want to know more details about what kind of dangerous.

It's kind of rude for them to ask us to get them stuff on the mainland and not tell us what to look out for, come to think of it.

All sizes. It tried moving my bed last night while I was sleeping.

It's possible they genuinely don't know what's further out there.

I've tried, but mine haven't really talked back at all. They're kinda annoying, but they're not dangerous or anything, so I don't mind.

I haven't heard anything about landfall! I didn't even know there was a mainland till a few days ago. Ugh. They never tell us anything.

If they're anything like the rest of the kedan, even if they did talk, I'm not sure how much more they'd say.

It's like we're on a need to know basis, but even further with the bare minimum of know.

Yeah, but to be honest, I don't mind it really. Kinda nice to have ghosts that aren't so noisy.

I hate even considering the idea, but it's almost like I'm slowly getting used to it. Doesn't mean I can't keep trying, though.

Huh. Hadn't heard that. [There's a few moments where she ponders it.] Though I'm a little skeptic on whether that'll end up being good or bad for us. Maybe a bit of both.

If she wants us to help her and the kedan combat a threat, it's still stupid to keep so much information from us. It only makes me suspect a pessimistic outcome, on our end.

I just wonder how the mainland relates to all that.

I thought they might have had answers that currently living kedan aren't willing to give. The dead have different priorities, and maybe that didn't include keeping everything a secret.

Have you seen the ones in the water? My guess is that these ones aren't any friendlier than the living.

Yes. I know how to pick my battles. I didn't bother with the hostile ghosts.

But is all of it like that? I mean, I guess those of us going will find out soon enough. I just like to be prepared.
