Couple of things!

I just want to let everyone know that the Welcome Center will be officially reopening next week. I really appreciate everyone who's pitched in to get it back in order. I'd like to run it with volunteers like we did before, so if you're interested in a few hours a week, let me know. It's not hard to do, but it makes a big difference for someone when they have no idea where they are and how they got here.

Can anyone fix these weird symbols on the consoles? I feel like I've broken something, but I can't get them to go away.

Last, has anyone had a chance to talk to those ambassadors yet?

PS. This weather is not my fault, I swear!

I'm missing a symbol that I didn't see when I was at a different cafe, that's not broken?

[Enjolras hadn't had much to do with the Welcome Center until they woke here and started trying to get things cleaned up, but now that he has, he definitely see the need, and is nodding, quite seriously, as the feed opens.]

Whenever you may need me there, I would be happy to come in.

Thanks, Enjolras. Have you got another job yet? I don't think many of us have managed it yet, but I can work around whoever's obligated elsewhere at certain times of day.

Oh are you in charge of the Welcome Centre? You wouldn't happen to have maps of the city there, would you? I almost got lost just trying to find my way from the university to the Midnight Hotel?

That's me, yeah. And maps we do have! Thankfully it was just a matter of getting new ones printed, a lot's changed in the city, but where stuff is located is more or less the same.

Well, even an old map might be handier than having no map at all. Seriously, this city is practically like a maze to navigate.

Though it's probably just as well to wait for the new ones. I kinda promised I wouldn't leave the Hotel for a few days.

I'd love to come in and help, though my hours at the moment are pretty unpredictable given that I've got a regular job going, and they're trying to push this train thing full steam. [The worst pun ever.] I could help out on the weekends though unless you're already full up.

Also, those shapes are getting really annoying. Seriously.

I wanted to throw my boomerang at them, but it wouldn't do any damage because a boomerang won't do much against a building.] I didn't think they were hiring then, but they seem to be now.

[ Jack merely assumes this is someone who's more comfortable communicating in text rather than a belief hold up. Truthfully, he's been getting pretty spoiled for the last several months, with so few new people arriving, and so not going through this as often. ]

Yeah, we've just finished the rebuild. You're new? My name's Jack, I can try and help with any questions you have. What's your name?

Also because last time the city was dumped on with snow, it was me.

[Midii had noticed the symbols as well, but took a small comfort in the fact that Jack didn't seem to recognize or understand them, either.]

Are they a secret code of some kind, maybe?

Or another language the locals use. Like kedanese, only with symbols instead of letters or numbers.

Maybe, but you'd think that the seventeen variants of kedan language would be enough already. Seems kind of simplistic for a code though, doesn't it? I mean, unless the code person is an escapee from daycare.

I've only just arrived here, but I would be happy to help out. You would have to fill me in on some of the details, though.

I've heard one of the ambassadors has a knack with their hands- I'm going to try and find them, myself, and see if they've got any ideas for this place.

As for those symbols...I almost want to suggest a cipher, but that asks more questions than it answers.

Codes aren't usually my thing, but how would that make more questions?
