[Console] (Video) ❅ The Fourth

(Despite using the console in the Hotel's lobby, Alayne has made herself as comfortable as she would be in her room. She is sitting at a table with pieces of paper placed around her. Three drawings are easily visible: one is a large wolf, another is an equally large hound with a deformed (or injured) face and the last is a bird in a cage. She moves her pencil over the sketch of the bird, adding shadows.)

Choose an animal for yourself. Then think of the animal others would choose for you.

Are they the same?

(She switches to the sketch of the wolf, adding shading there - particularly around its neck.)

If not, why?

(Also, thanks to her lacking her hair dye, the whole of Tu Shanshu can now see that her hair is auburn.)

What? Oh no no no, don't apologize. I said it to be funny. I like making people laugh, back home it was kind of my job. You know? Keep things light, keep my brothers from killing each other.

Brothers can be volatile, but I assure you, sisters are worse. (At least men are upfront with one another.)

That I will have to take your word for. The closest person to a sister in my life is more like a Mom most of the time.

I...had...both. (There's no use in hiding that fact. He's not going to know what that means.) Three brothers, one who pretended to be my brother and one who was only my bastard - half - brother. Then I had one sister.

One of my brothers...my half brother...is alive. (As for the others, she doesn't know beyond Robb. And Theon deserves death.) I've been...in hiding.

There is no need for me to hide here. I wasn't sure when I arrived, but I know now. I am the only one from my world.

Just remember, Alive and Living aren't always the same thing. The Second one's almost as important as the First.

I can't hope to live if I'm not alive. (A beat and she whispers;) I'm sorry for you. I've grown accustomed to being alone, but it sounds like you were close to your brothers.

Because it was a really bad error in judgement, I could have killed us all.

I...I was injured in an attack, and when it came time to go on another mission I lied about how bad I still was. Then I stupidly tried to play hero and we got separated...and I ended up here, and they're....I have no idea where they are.

You lied so you could follow them and protect them. How could they be angry at you for that? (Unlike her who, unknowingly, led to her own father and brother's death.) Give yourself credit and look forward to seeing them again.

There isn't a moment I'm not doing the second one of those, it's the first one that tasks me.
