[It is night, the very earliest of hours in the new day, and Louis is sitting in a dully lit room. The color of the light is a dull blue, and his face is mostly in shadow. The darkness outside and the blue-teal light give his white skin -- what can be seen of it -- a very unhealthy hue. However, his voice is soft and curious in tone, and welcoming in its calmness]

One of my most favorite of memories of my home were the crawfish. Platters full of bright red crawfish, freshly caught, steaming and soon to be bathed in seasoned butter.

[Being in the Water district has brought these distant memories back and they make him smile slightly as he thinks on it. He couldn't now remember what crawfish tasted like but he remembered that he had enjoyed it.]

Do they have here what any of you recall fondly from your own homes? More surprising to me is not what all is different here, but how much is so similar, to what I once knew.

[What would be the point of needing it on the go he wonders? This console, he understands, it is stationary like a television and phone in one. Then again, Louis has ever been one of the few vampires which adapt to all this ingenuity and technology. If they think of it, they build it, and find some use for it.]

A mobile phone. Very clever idea.

If piano and violin are rare are there other instruments here? Is there music the locals of this city enjoy that is enjoyable to an Earth ear?

[ Vergil himself had come from the late 80's early 90's the phone was still pretty much listed under 'witchcraft' to him. Not that he says it, it is pretty handy.]

Very clever indeed. I am told these models are outdated, as fancy as they seem. The wonders that people can do, I suppose.

Well, before my brother vanished, he had something close to a guitar that is likely floating around. His belongings were dispersed when he vanished. I have seen other instruments that are not so displeasing but look strange. I am in the market for a violin as it were.

Vergil, if I see a violin I will be sure to alert you to it. Perhaps you could play for me? That would be an honor most certainly.

[So many long and peaceful years were spent with Lestat in which he would, softly and obtrusively in his way, ask his lover to play the piano for him. They were some of the best memories he had, and even now he would wax nostalgic to listen to him.

The memory even now gives him a somber smile.]

Since I was around 3 or 4 years of age, my mother insisted Myself and my brother both take up an instrument. My father played violin, so naturally I choose it myself. My brother is a Attention hungry type, he plays guitar... and drums... anything loud.

[ he actually missed him... opps.]
