[It is night, the very earliest of hours in the new day, and Louis is sitting in a dully lit room. The color of the light is a dull blue, and his face is mostly in shadow. The darkness outside and the blue-teal light give his white skin -- what can be seen of it -- a very unhealthy hue. However, his voice is soft and curious in tone, and welcoming in its calmness]

One of my most favorite of memories of my home were the crawfish. Platters full of bright red crawfish, freshly caught, steaming and soon to be bathed in seasoned butter.

[Being in the Water district has brought these distant memories back and they make him smile slightly as he thinks on it. He couldn't now remember what crawfish tasted like but he remembered that he had enjoyed it.]

Do they have here what any of you recall fondly from your own homes? More surprising to me is not what all is different here, but how much is so similar, to what I once knew.

A little of both. I teach my artes to those who can learn them, as do the other healers; the more mundane methods of healing are passed down, as well. Additionally, we treat anyone who comes to us, regardless of race. Ideally, the Guild serves as a neutral body, interested in the well-being of the people of the city above anything else.

[Here now is a conundrum; from the moment he found himself here Louis has been wondering on the probability of kedan blood for nourishment, he has wondered on the availability of donated blood and if that would be poison or not. Would donated blood, kept stored, be like dead blood to him and a poison?

Would she even know? Would she wish to help him if she did?

Louis makes a small hum as he considers these questions though he shares none of them with her for now.]

I would be interested in visiting the guild. I have no healing abilities of my own but the art does hold curiosity for me.
