Let me take a guess at how many people you get freaking out on a regular basis. Don't get me wrong, this whole thing is, uh... bullshit, but given we apparently can't do anything about it — do you still get a lot of whiners? Maybe I'm not being fair. Maybe everyone is reasonable about all this.

The adjustment process. It's taken us a bit over a year to get to now, and was quite rough in a few spots that might have been smoothed over. Still. We ARE still here, most of us. It works for what it is.

Hopefully, the fog will be gone for good. It was brand new and does seem like a limited occurrence. As for being stopped here? That is a good question. It usually depends on the business at hand.

Not much choice but to eventually come out even. Or things could keep being awkward, but that wouldn't help anyone.

I do hope it goes as easily as that. Awkward things are never particularly fun to work through, no. I wonder how we might force past it or if that would not make them much worse in the end.

That it is. And usually it changes according to...whatever he knows about the currents we are swimming in. Biological reasons, perhaps, or others. It's strange to think about land turtles in the same way, still.

I'd call this whole thing anything but average.

Probably better waiting it out and letting it come as it happens. And... god, I don't want to think about similarities between this turtle and any we have back home.

That seems entirely fair, given the circumstances.

Ah, yes, that COULD get odd and awkward. So far, I've been able to not compare the two, they ARE quite different.

[Though, now it's been mentioned, Enjolras does wonder if he'll ever eat terrapin again. He sort of doubts it.]

Rather true. There ARE places where the reality stretches closer to this, so I am led to understand. It seems as if there is a degree of it. There are people from worlds where things like the computer machines are commonplace among other things. It becomes so relative, until one's used to it, perhaps.

And ah right, names.

[There's a bit of an awkward headduck and Enjolras's cheeks are a bit flushed now as he remembers this is usually part of things.]

Mine is Enjolras. Of Paris, most recently, but Cassis before that.

[ Okay, Junior can't help the laugh and he tries to hide it in a covered cough. ]

So a lot of people have said. I'm told of at least several decades between my life and that of many others here, so I suppose that does make sense.

[Enjolras can admit to it being sort of amusing. He's got a hint of a msile on his face too.]

Well, it was 1832 when I died in Paris, and came to wake up here. QUITE the change at first, and now things simply go incredibly odder than the usual now that I think of it. I do wonder what I might have thought, to have been brought here with no prior warning. As it was, it seemed better than death, then. But if I might have been alive...I would have been angrier I think. And more confused, somehow.

I suspect perhaps more than a continent. Some seem to be from other universes entirely, oddly enough. Though yes, I am. Well, was, I suppose. I would be dead there, at least. Here, the rules are different.

Do you know what the most common is? [ Seems weird that he'd be from some kind of far-off time in comparison... ]

Those sound like some rather important rules there.

There seems to be a baseline Earth that was quite popular. Or at least, most of the worlds here seem to start in the same place and time. Whether someone has magical abilities or not might vary but...they share enough commonalities to start, I should THINK.

Ah yes. Life and Death and Dreaming... Each does have their own. For instance, the gem you woke with? Never lose that. Trust me.
