002 ~ [Video]

Ssssoooo...

[Cue one Nurse Fletcher, sprawled out in a chair in one of the cafés, a cup of tea sat before him that he's idly stirring. It's his lunch break, he's allowed this.]

I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be much of a nightlife around here. Or, at least, one that people don't use like they should. I am, of course, talking about most of the Foreigners around here. Seriously, guys, you gotta blow off some steam at some point.

[A pause.]

And I ain't talking about bashing one another to bits in that arena on Tavimbi. I'm talking about going for a pint after work, or going on an all-night bender, getting mortal and waking up regretting stuff.

[Another pause.]

Not that I'd recommend stuff like that on a regular basis, but, hey. It works. Besides, a bit of social lubrication can help get people to know each other better.

[He then stops, scratches his cheek, raising the cup.] Of course, I might be completely wrong about everyone being boring and not spending time with each other. [Slurp of tea.] So, if I am, you'll have to come and prove me wrong.

That's new, though. I mean, I guess if they're getting themselves beat up regularly it's just because they didn't have the opportunity to go all gladiator before now. But they're not, like, totally maimed at least.

[At least they shouldn't be. The Jagaiz weapons were designed to deliver electric shocks, not dismember people.]

Those regulars probably wouldn't say no to some social drinking, too.

Well, if they do try to pick fights I could always carry them out if I had the armor lying around.

[She could also probably magic her way out of it, but that was rather more complicated.]

It doesn't exactly make for a great clubbing outfit, though.

...you make a very good point. [Because New York City has that culture as well, most definitely.] I wouldn't really want to go clubbing in the armor, at least, even if people liked the idea of it.

It's traditional, I guess. Maybe we can introduce Happy Hour to Keeliai.
