[video/console]
If I understand this right, there could be people here I know, despite that I could swear I just talked to them at home, right? [Luke frowns, looking rather tired as he runs a hand through his hair, sitting at the console in the Welcome Center.] In that case, if anyone knows if Leia Organa or... [A pause, because does it work if the last you knew someone was frozen in carbonite and basically in coma?] Han Solo are here, please tell me. Or tell them Luke's looking for them.
[He smiles briefly, his expression brightening a little in general. Something strikes him then, though, and Luke's gaze lowers for a moment, frowning at something out of view before he looks up again.]
Aside from that, I'd like to know what sort of prosthesis are available, and the tools to repair them. Or if the tools could be adjusted for already existing ones. I don't need any of that at the moment, but you never know.
[Better be as prepared as he can, before something happens, for once. Especially in a new place. He's had his new hand not two weeks yet, and he's very, very aware of it... which is probably why this occurred to him at all.]

[Because now he was thinking about this more generally, and really... why did they wipe droids' memories, anyway? He tucked that thought away with an internal frown, focusing back on Aya.]
I don't remember mine either. [Luke shrugs, frowning in thought.] I don't remember my mother either, since I think... she must have died at the same time. Maybe the moment of your creation is just... overwhelming, even if you're not born as an organic being would be?
So it doesn't stick?
[He couldn't say he was particularly confident in that theory - it sounded a bit odd, honestly - but he wanted to try and help and give her something, at least.]
Or do you have any theories for why you don't remember?
action;
[...more or less.]
What I mean to say is that...I am organic. My body is a solid construct made of conveniently acquired metallic alloys and Green Energy construct material, yes, but I am still alive. It has been confirmed through...multiple sources.
action;
But you know, even if you were a droid... um, inorganic, that wouldn't make you any less of a person anyway. [He shook his head, still intrigued by what she'd told him.]
But maybe that's why you don't remember, then? Since as you said, most of us don't remember how or when we were born.
action;
You are a very kind person. Not every individual I have encountered shares the same belief regarding robots--droids, as you refer to them, I believe--regardless of whether they are organic or inorganic.
And...yes. That has been the only conclusion I have been able to produce. Either that, or my creators deliberately chose to wipe those memories. Though I currently have no reason to suspect that is the case.
[...]
action;
Well, hopefully they'd change their minds.
[Never too late for that, after all - a thought which briefly distracts him, but he puts it aside. Think about that and the completely different context later.]
I think you're right to just assume you don't remember simply because most of us don't, especially if you don't have any reason to think anything else. [Luke smiled, shaking his head.] No reason to borrow trouble when you don't need to, right?
action;
[And she nodded. Still smiling. Her moods, it seemed, were quite easy to read; she had long ago mastered the art of speaking with natural, subtle tone shift and inflections, and her face as it was had grown more and more expressive over time.]
Is there anything else that I might be able to aid you with at this time?
action;
action;
I am sorry.
Most of the useful advice that would pertain to a carbon-based life form is irrelevant to me. I do not require food or drink for sustenance, and I do not sleep. As such, I cannot provide advice regarding sustenance nor an adequate place of residency at which to regulate a healthy sleep cycle.
action;
No, no, that's fine. I didn't... quite think about that. [Taking a breath, he couldn't quite hold back his smile.] Nothing to be sorry for... But where are you living? You must have some place to rest, right, however you do that.
[Luke frowned now, because surely she had some safe shelter somewhere, at least?]
action;
There is a room within the Stark Industries Building. A previous company head and I made a deal in exchange for my services. I have collected sufficient materials to use as spare parts, as well as an external system to enact both full body scanning as well as necessary repairs.
action;
That's good. Just because you don't always need it doesn't mean shelter's not a good idea to have access to.

action;
Even carbon-based life forms such as yourself are capable of multi-tasking.
I do not see why you should not be able to feel concern over both yourself and others simultaneously.
action;
True, I can do that. [Though he usually did ignore himself, focusing on his friends instead.]
Thanks for coming out here and helping me.
[Even if nothing had been immediately solved, but that wasn't really necessary at the moment.]
action;
It is no trouble.
I am glad I was able to be of some assistance.
[She was far from subservient, but she did so enjoy the thought of being of use to others.]
