If I understand this right, there could be people here I know, despite that I could swear I just talked to them at home, right? [Luke frowns, looking rather tired as he runs a hand through his hair, sitting at the console in the Welcome Center.] In that case, if anyone knows if Leia Organa or... [A pause, because does it work if the last you knew someone was frozen in carbonite and basically in coma?] Han Solo are here, please tell me. Or tell them Luke's looking for them.
[He smiles briefly, his expression brightening a little in general. Something strikes him then, though, and Luke's gaze lowers for a moment, frowning at something out of view before he looks up again.]
Aside from that, I'd like to know what sort of prosthesis are available, and the tools to repair them. Or if the tools could be adjusted for already existing ones. I don't need any of that at the moment, but you never know.
[Better be as prepared as he can, before something happens, for once. Especially in a new place. He's had his new hand not two weeks yet, and he's very, very aware of it... which is probably why this occurred to him at all.]

[The latter part, however...]
I might be able to offer some assistance, depending upon the technological and biochemical components of such prosthetics.
video
[There's a bit of a pause as he pulls down the sleeve and with only a slight hesitation opens the access panel for a moment, to show what it looks like inside.]
Not sure that will tell you too much, but it uses a standard power cell.
[Briefly, Luke frowns down at it and then shrugs, pulling his sleeve back up. Sometimes it still doesn't feel like his hand, but he's getting there.]
video
It would not be difficult to scan, if you do not mind. I can assure you, it would be noninvasive and last no more than a few second's time. If the atomic compositions are elements or compounds my systems are able to match, then I could better assess if there is sufficient damage.

She covers her mouth with a hand as she sees his smile, looking so much like Anakin in that brief moment that she has no doubt of who he is. She's so in shock that she almost misses the comment about prosthesis, but it's not hard to figure things out. Obi-Wan had said he was going to watch over Luke. No doubt her son had managed to find a way to become a Jedi with her friend's help, not if he is his father's son as well.
Giving herself a mental slap, she finally reaches out a shaky hand to signal the console to connect so she can speak to him.]
I'm afraid that Leia Organa and Han Solo aren't here. [Her voice is far stronger than she feels, thanks to a lifetime in public speaking.] However, you'll be pleased to know that Obi-Wan Kenobi is here. As well as myself and my husband, Anakin Skywalker.
no subject
Ben? But he's---
['Dead' doesn't mean much, and here, probably less, if he's got things right. Luke's not sure what he's supposed to feel about that, though, even less when Anakin Skywalker and husband is said and he just stares for a moment.
There's some awareness that he should probably stop gripping the desk if he's not going to test if he can break wood with the grip of his new hand. He lets go and slowly sits up; he'd apparently leaned forward.]
He's...
[There's a sick little twist of vertigo in his stomach, something between guarded wonder - she'd said 'Anakin', not 'Vader' - and remembered pain. He shakes his head and focuses back on the feed. And the woman speaking.]
Wait, your husband? You...
[Luke's rather sure he knows who she is, but he's uncertain what he's supposed to say, and he might be wrong. He doesn't think he is, but well. About this, he knows nothing.]
Sorry. [He manages a smile, tries to think of some way to bring this up that won't sound strange, and shakes his head.] What's... what's your name?
[... well, that wasn't exactly it, but he sure wanted to know.]
no subject
Yes, my husband is Anakin Skywalker, and if Obi-Wan is to be believed, you are my son, Luke Skywalker.
[Her hands are tight balls in her lap as she speaks, her nerves taunt and ready to snap as they both meet one another for the first time.]
I am called by many things, but most people refer to me as Padmé Amidala, Senator of Naboo.

It doesn't seem like time or the boundaries of space mean a whole lot here. There are people from 20 years in the past, as far as I can figure out. I'm acquainted with Leia Organa, but she's not here as far I know.
no subject
I wonder how that works... [another shake of his head and he cocks his head.] And since you know of her and you've got that hanging behind you... I guess you're with the Alliance?
[Seemed safe enough to assume.]
no subject
[And he grins, and nods.]
Something like that. I'm guessing Leia doesn't talk a lot about how the Alliance got started? This... [He jabs a finger behind him, pointing at the wall hanging.] was my family's crest. The way I heard it, the Rebels took it as their symbol after the Emperor... [Galen hasn't had any visions or flashbacks of his past in quite a while, but he's hit suddenly by the memory of his first "death" at Palpatine's hands. He clutches his head for a few seconds, his eyes clenched so hard that he tears up.]
...After the Emperor tried to kill them all, and me.
[Galen closes his eyes for a few seconds, composing himself.]
I'm...Galen Marek. The Rebels knew me as "Starkiller", I was...Vader's Apprentice, in another life.
[He knows it's public, but he doesn't care. Galen's been sitting on a lot of unpleasant information for way too long. Luke knew of the Alliance, so he had to know of Darth Vader and the Emperor, so Galen feels like he can unburden some of what he's gone through on him. Take some of the weight off of Obi-Wan's shoulders.]

If you need tools, I think the Fire District and Metal District will have such things.
What is a pross... [The word catches her off-guard. That's a lot of S's.] ... a pres-thes-is?
Video
He smiles slightly as she stumbles over the word.]
Prosthetic. It's an artificial limb.
[He holds up his right hand, slowly flexing his fingers, and while he hadn't intended it to, he's suddenly - again - very aware of the slightest thing being off with it. He ignores it.]
I know it doesn't look like it, but this hand is artificial, so inside there's metal and wires instead of bone and such.

Luke? ... Luke Skywalker?
[He had heard from Kylo Ren about the sort of man Luke would become, but Obi-Wan had never expected to meet him here. Although he had secretly hoped that he might.]
Video
... he'd been told Obi-Wan was here. He just hadn't exactly expected this.]
Ben?!

Are you related to Bail Organa?
[There's something familiar about this guy, but he's not sure what and just seeing him over the monitor isn't helping.]
video
No, that's--- Bail Organa's Leia's father. I haven't even met him. [Sobering up at that, Luke straightens a little and he blinks. Because there's more than one familiar feature that he's looking at, and...]
It's fine right now, and it'll hopefully stay that way for a while at least. I only just got it. [He rolls his eyes, unconsciously flexing the fingers of his right hand.]
You're..?
[He makes it a question, but he already knows, and it's making him feel sick and hopeful at the same time.]
video
[He has a suspicion about a few things himself. For one those names. But this man looks to be the same age as him, so there is some doubt hovering. So he'll just take this one step at a time and not assume anything.]

As for your friends, sorry. Someone was looking for a, uh... [Give him a sec.] ...Bail Organa? If that means anything?
[Leia Organa, Han Solo... This must be Luke Skywalker. And this is Fletch holding back his awe, because we don't want another Padmé, do we?]
Of course, if it's robotic, then someone at the college or Stark Industries may be a bit more help.
Adrian Fletcher, by the way. Nice to meet ya.
Video
[Because why wouldn't it. He... lost... the hand in the first place, after all. Luke closes his eyes briefly and then shakes his head.]
I haven't met him, but it does. He's Leia's father. [Pausing, Luke frowns a little in thought.] I guess he could, technically, appear here as well, couldn't he?
[He sort of hopes he doesn't, at least not with Leia not here to meet him.]
Video
[Although the coincidence of multiple people showing up from Star Wars...? It's a bit weird...]
Anyway, yeah. I guess the best place would be to try and find someone who's familiar with that kinda prosthetic. I would offer to help, but my world's not as advanced. I'd probably muck it up.

What kinda prosthetics?

[He has no idea how advanced this prosthetic is; if it can counter that element or not. But he's an ex War Healer, and he's dealt with plenty of people with missing limbs. Drake offers the camera a smile.]
I don't encounter many these days who have to contend with that issue, but the offer is there regardless. It's not something most people know to expect.
Video
[Luke pauses visibly at that, growing a little quiet.]
It hasn't really been much of an issue yet, and I knew it could happen, but from what I was told there's not that much to do about it.
[Well, aside from painkillers when it's bad. And 'not much of an issue' didn't mean he hadn't experienced it at all in the last two weeks. Hobbie was usually quiet about it, but he was the reason Luke knew about that before he'd lost his own hand.]
