Text.
Now that I'm much better acquainted with this place I will be opening my own consulting detective business. The basis of my operation is this:
If you have an interest in consulting me then there are a few things to keep in mind.
On that that note, with my work it is likely I'll be far too busy to keep up the apartment and all the shopping. If you would like a job as a house keeper you may apply below, however there are a few key traits I'm looking for in any potentials.
-Sherlock Holmes
[ This time, he's signed it with his full name just to the gauge the reaction to it. ]
- 1. If you have an interesting problem that you cannot solve on your own then you may feel free to contact me and we'll discuss its potential.
2. Tell me in every detail possible about your problem. Leaving nothing out.
3. From the details you provide I will offer a deduction or decide if further investigation is necessary.
If you have an interest in consulting me then there are a few things to keep in mind.
- 1. I will charge all my clients the same amount. More money is not an incentive.
2. If you cannot afford the designated charge I am open to negotiating the price.
3. I won't waste my time on adultery cases.
4. I will not accept anonymous clients.
On that that note, with my work it is likely I'll be far too busy to keep up the apartment and all the shopping. If you would like a job as a house keeper you may apply below, however there are a few key traits I'm looking for in any potentials.
- 1. Must be able to follow orders.
2. Able to make tea and coffee
3. Willing to do the necessary shopping
4. A strong stomach, not at all squeamish
5. No sort of history involving the abuse (of any kind) of children.

What is it?

I'm working on finding all the words that repeat consistently-I'm fairly certain this denotes a definite article. [ He taps one of the words in the book he has open. ]
What do you think?
no subject
Its a list of place names. Proper nouns.
[Conan wasn't fluent in any of the dialects yet, but he'd managed to pick up a decent vocabulary and some basic knowledge of the language structure. And place names had been the simplest to learn. ]

So, do you know how the language is structured? Is it subject before description, or description before subject like English?
no subject
It seems to be a much more relaxed word order. It can be subject before description or description before subject. As far as determining meaning, it seems that word endings are more important than word order.

[ Regardless, he stands up and moves over to grab his coat. ]
I need air. You're welcome to come along if you want.
no subject
Thanks, I think I will.
[He shrugs on his own coat and follows after him. ]

[ Once out in the cool evening air Sherlock doesn't have a definite destination in mind but his feet carry him towards the university library, perhaps the librarian or a one of the university professors (if they worked the same as Earth universities) would be able to explain the new language to him-or at the very least teach him what to look for. ]
It's Conan, isn't it? How long have you been here?
[ Despite that it's a been a few days since Conan had moved in this is the first time Sherlock has acknowledged the name. ]
no subject
I arrived here almost six months ago.
no subject
without Johnfor six months. ]You seem to have fared here quite well on your own. Is there anything in particular that I should expect of this place?
no subject
[Conan grimaces. He had very reluctantly accepted that the magic so many of the others spoke of here was a legitimate force here. But that didn't mean that he liked it. ]
The worst so far was a riot a few months ago. It was set off by a chemical that fell from the sky in the form of black dust, and it increased aggression significantly in anyone who breathed it in.
no subject
[ He considers what the child is telling him-a powder like that could easily be a drug-there are several that heighten agression but then he knows very little about the what type of plants are native to this turtle. He'll have to look into it. ]
Was the cause of that ever discovered?
