[The post opens on the video setting, with a curious-looking rather pointy-nosed sandy-haired man in Victorian garb looking at the console. He adjusts his cravat slightly.]

I believe this is the 'video' setting? And you all can see me? This really is marvelous, you know—or perhaps you don't, if you're used to it-

[He then abruptly switches to the audio setting, his voice gaining a shading of amusement.]

And I can certainly see the advantages of being heard, but not seen. How thoughtful of our hosts.

[Then the audio cuts off too, his fascination with this new technology overwhelming his usual good manners.]

And this, of course, is text. Most similar to what I'm used to, though this letter arrangement does not seem to be the most efficient. Are we capable of changing this? I'm sure there's a better arrangement for these.

Oh, generally the normal kind- have you met man-eating sheep? I haven't, but they sound fascinating.

I wouldn't recommend getting up close and personal, no matter how fascinating they sound.

They're the size of hippos and super fast.

I'm Beta of the Woolsey Pack, the largest in Britain. And no, none of them would claim that distinction. They're all quite a bit... larger. [He's small for a werewolf and would never even attempt to deny that.]

Larger? You mean in terms of jobs?

[She sort of frowns.] I don't consider a professorship to be small.

[Pause.] Unless you meant actual physical size.

I do mean in size. Werewolves do not tend to be small. [And he is, even for a human. Not that they breed, it's just the rough and tumble sorts go for werewolf metamorphosis instead of vampire.]

What's the average size then? And are you talking about as humans or as wolves?

[What is not prying.]

I wouldn't say that there's an average, only that the Alphas who make the metamorphosis tend to choose those who are larger- say, around six feet or so. Their lupine sizes are correspondingly large.

[It's no trouble, he likes to encourage scientific inquiry in the young.]

[She nods.] Okay, but what size size have to do with your job? Or did I misinterpret something?
