[Ever since arriving, Bruce has spent the better part his time here trying to decide how best to handle this situation. He's long since shed his costume and put it away on the lower floor of his suite. Best not to put that on for a while. After, he combed through the suite (yes in his underwear) and tried his radio with no success.

That's when he spots the console.

When Bruce activates the voice function on his console, he's putting away the Batman voice, in order to sound as innocuous as possible. He has no civilian clothes and he would really rather not have the Batman associated with him. It's bad enough the kedan saw him in costume. He needed to put some distance between himself and the suit as quickly as possible.]

My name is Bruce and it seems I've lost my shorts in the water. [Embarrassed laugh.] Would someone mind letting me know where I could find some clothes?

[Bruce had to electrocute Bane once before to stop him. Does he have to do it again?]

Its protector? As far as I know Gotham City Police are handling things fine. At least that's what Chief Rojas says.

Come now, Mr. Wayne, I think we both know I was not inquiring the condition of police force.

Perhaps I should have specified. Its true protector.

[Of course he's talking about the Batman. Oh well. At least Bruce's a master at playing dumb.]

I don't know what other protector you could mean. Unless you're talking about the Batman and he's just an urban legend.

[Bane, Bruce isn't liking your jib or the cut of it.]

These lies do little for a man of your stature, Mr. Wayne.

I suppose I should count myself fortunate, having met such an elusive figure?

[So they've met before. Good, at least Bruce can go through a mental checklist of every crazy he's ever run into. Far too eloquent to be Langstrom or Joker. Doesn't read as Penguin's style. Catwoman? Perhaps. But she's not this interested in the Batman. He hasn't met Riddler yet.

That leaves...Bane. Well shit.]

Oh so you have seen him? I'm sure Chief Rojas would like to have a word with you then.

I imagine he would prefer to have several.

Though his desires will have to wait, seeing we are all misplaced at the moment.

[batwave]

Yes, I'd imagine so.

[It seems a little silly to ask this person how he knows Bruce's name. If he's Gotham, Bruce would be concerned if he DIDN'T know his name. There's got to be a way to wriggle it out of him.]

You know, it feels like I'm being rude not knowing your name.

[Come on, confirm his suspicions for him.]

Pleasantries have little use in the current moment.


How does the Bat fare?

I wouldn't know. I'm afraid I don't keep up with the gossip.

I find that very hard to believe, Mr. Wayne. Since so much of you is invested in the public image.

And that means I have better things to spend my time on than chasing after children's stories, don't you think?

[Bruce is a great actor. Bane spooks him and he's still managing to sound as polite and cheerful as ever.]
