[Those who have seen it before might recognise that Percy is sitting in Annabeth's suite and using her console rather than his own] Okay, so, first things first. Sea prunes? Don't go there. And I'm saying that as the guy whose dad probably invented them.
[His fingers reach for a nearby pen and absently tap it against the desk before he scrawls something meaningless on a piece of paper nearby. People who have spoken to Percy before might not that he's more twitchy than usual, almost agitated.] Second, um. Are there any jobs going in places that are a little more Foreigner friendly? Apparent customers won't buy things from places if the person serving them calls them a jerk, even if they're being one. The managers don't seem to like it, either. Something without boring, repetitive tasks would be great, too. As it turns out, that's kind of hard to deal with when you're ADHD. [A beat. He fold the paper in half absently slides it into a nearby book.] And if any writing could be in Ancient Greek, that would be awesome. Dyslexics of the world untie, that sort of thing.
[He picks the book up and places it somewhere off-screen, seemingly unaware of what he's doing. A grin tugs at the corner of his mouth, and he laughs, a little sheepishly] Okay, so I don't do a great job at selling myself. But I promise, I'm hardworking. I'm resourceful, I don't mind manual labour, I can talk to sea creatures and horses, and I make a mean garden hose. And I really, really need something to do here, or else I'm going to lose my mind. And believe me when I say no one wants a crazy demigod on their hands. [He gives a small wave, and is about to disappear when he thinks of something]
Oh yeah! Apparently there are some people who don't know how to swim? I can totally teach you, if you want. Or...I dunno, take people on water rides around the turtle. Floating around in the ocean in a bubble is pretty neat, I'm just saying.

action
[She shakes her head, but there's quiet amusement.] I'll talk to Leo about putting cow traps on the suite. For precaution. [Annabeth actually resists the tug for a moment, thinking back on the last time he did this, before giving in and sort of settling herself carefully, placing her feet on the floor on either side of him for extra balance.] If we end up on the floor again, I'm banning you from this chair.
Re: action
[He laughs] You mean like those steal grate things on the floor? [He mock-frowns at her, then, settling his hands at her waist] Hey! In my defense, I was disoriented. And you were distracting. [And ending up on the floor hadn't exactly turned out to be a bad thing]
action
[She slides her arms straight out over his shoulders, resting them there, and lightly linking her hands in the air behind his head.] None of that's my fault.
[Except for the part where she's mastered the art of distracting Percy Jackson with utter perfection and fully abuses this talent whenever she can.]
action
[Percy is on the verge of replying to his girlfriend - because it's definitely like, at least fifty percent her fault. But she moves around, and somehow her hands just resting there doing nothing are more distracting than if she'd actually been doing - well, something. He blinks] What?
action
[But then she slumps a little in laughter, because wow she was not even really trying yet. Give her a moment to stop and recollect herself. When she does, she just smiles at him, leaning in to steal a brief kiss, then pulls back to look him in the eyes.] Just continue to validate my thoughts.
action
Oh no don't laugh at him though his man-ego.] That's cheating. [He leans in and kisses her back, a little longer than the brief one she'd stolen from him] I know a lot about you, Annabeth Chase, but I can't read your mind.
action
[His man-ego means nothing to her. Annabeth doesn't even reply with words at first, just kisses him again. Kind of slow and teasing, and she moves one of her hands just in front of his mouth to prevent him from doing it again after she pulls back.] We never laid any ground rules. And you don't have to. Just know that you do anyway.
action
A quite sound escapes the back of his throat, and his hands shift a little on her hips. He moves to continue that train of though but then her hand is there and he frowns a little in consternation. There is a brief impulse to lick her hand like a 12 year old, but he's pretty sure that won't lead anywhere he's interested in going] This is also cheating. [He mumbles that from behind her hand instead. There's a certain look in his eyes when he meets her gaze that should leave no doubts as to how he feels about her] Are they at least good thoughts?
action
[Annabeth smirks when he frowns, but she doesn't move her hand away. She is winning, Percy Jackson, not cheating.] No it's not. What did I just say about rules?
[That Certain Look doesn't go unnoticed, and she can feel her cheeks go a little red, even if she's staring at him the same way. A small smile, still kind of teasing, and she rolls a shoulder in half a shrug.] Most of the time.
action
Percy doesn't move to take her hand away just yet] No rules, huh? [He can get behind that idea.
One hand leaves her hip, reaching up. His fingers brush lightly over her cheek where the red is staining it, and she can probably feel him smirking a little behind her hand] You look beautiful right now. [It might seem like it comes out of nowhere, but that's sort of the point. he's trying to throw her off balance.
He also means it absolutely, but that doesn't mean it can't be weaponised.]
action
[Annabeth shoves her hand entirely against his mouth, covering it completely and half glaring him down through a giddiness brought on by his stupid words.] And you're an idiot.
[And her response to slide her other hand to rest at the back of his neck, lean in to kiss his cheek. Then trail down to the corner of his jaw, before pulling back to stare at him defiantly.]
action
He chokes on a laugh when she shoves her hand against his mouth, giving her a thumbs up in response to her calling him an idiot, considering that talking is a little hard right now. The laughter fades as her lips move over his skin, and he swallows a little, just looking at her when she pulls back.
Slowly, his hand comes up to wrap around her wrist, tugging it gently away from his mouth] You might've missed a spot.
action
And which spot might that be?
action
action
[There's no vocal answer; she leans in, picking up where she left off before and moving along until she meets his lips. Which, you know, she'll just linger at for a while, unconsciously shifting her whole self a little closer, before she finally pulls back for a moment. With half a questioning smirk on her face, as if asking if she picked right.]
action
So I think this chair is my lucky charm, or something. [His voice is the slightest bit hoarse when he speaks, thumb sliding absently back and forth at her back.]
action
[With the chair comment, Annabeth laughs softly, pulling her hand out of his to rest it on his shoulder. Her tone's a little quiet.] One of them, maybe.
[Because she doesn't need a chair to kiss her boyfriend, gods. Which she sort of slowly starts to lean in to do again, even if there's a part of her brain saying maybe they should move before they fall over a second time. She's just too distracted by his hand on her skin.]
action
He can feel the chair starting to tip, though, and as fun as that had ended up being last time, the process of getting to the floor had actually been kind of painful. Percy would prefer to avoid that. He doesn't really stop kissing her, though, murmuring the words against her lips instead] The chair - tipping - I should really - move us.
action
[Except the goddamn chair starts up again. She manages to pause, keeping her own lips close and chuckling a little, her voice low.] So get to it then.
[...what, did he expect her to make it easier for him?]
action
The chair tips again and he pulls away with something of a gasp, pressing his forehead to hers and struggling to gather his thoughts together. What was he doing] Okay. [They're getting out of the chair, right? his brain is trying to work through the logistics of that, but his body's way ahead of him. The hand in her hair goes to her outer thigh, and he steals another hard kiss before standing, taking her weight easily in his arms]
action
And now you start walking. [She says it matter-of-factly with a teasing grin, for all her heart-rate's off the charts and she'd really rather get back to the whole kissing him thing.]
action
Bedroom. He can feel himself turning read just from the thought. It has all kinds of implications that he's not sure either one of them are really ready for, even if they're just making out; he changes angle slightly and heads towards the couch instead, carrying her easily despite the distraction of her long legs wrapped around his waist]
action
[She doesn't miss the direction he first starts towards, nor the color on his cheeks; it kind of spreads to her own, but she'll ignore it, holding herself close to him as he walks. Stealing the occasional kiss, both on his mouth and on his cheeks. Because he's right there you know and she's a little impatient, even if they're practically at the couch already.]
action
And then he pulls away, because things are getting sort of intense, and he just needs to - he has to check] Hey. You okay?
action
[It takes her a second to establish what he asked, because when he backs up she's confused (and annoyed) as to why he stopped and ready to pull him down again; her face flashes that confusion through somewhat heavy breathing.]
[Except then she can't help but half smile at him, something of utter adoration.] Absolutely, Seaweed Brain. [She tugs him closer for one brief, chaste brush of lips. And then she asks, a little quietly with a kind of nervousness that only he might be able to notice:] Are you?
