[Victor isn't a happy lizard right now. He looks tired and annoyed but he offers a wave to the camera before he starts talking.]

The rationing is bad enough but on top of that, my boss seems like he's trying to be as irritable as Wolverine usually is. All this mold that showed up is getting on my nerves too. Cleaning it up at work and the coming home to clean it up here is just too much. [He shakes his head.] Add in the cracks showing up all over the place and this annoying fog that's been showing up for the past few nights and I'm ready to get out of here.

Is there anyone out there that's got some extra room and wouldn't mind if Santo and I crashed with them for awhile? [He's worried about Santo and his big rocky self.] At least until whatever is going on stops?

[Victor's packing two bags when Santo arrives. One for clothes and one for rations and everything else.]

Get what over with?

Hurry up and punch me so we can move on to other things.

[He rolls his eyes.] I told you I wasn't going to punch you, Santo.

Wait you were actually serious?

[Victor looks up from zipping up his bag.]

Of course I was serious.

I... Really? [Well now this is awkward.] I actually don't know where to go from here then.

[Victor just gives Santo an odd look as he picks the bags up.]

I was thinking we'd get going over to the other sector.

[Santo holds out his hand, expecting Victor to hand the bags over to him.]

Man, hopefully the other sector isn't as bad as ours... I'm gonna miss our cave, though.

[Vic hands over one of the bags but keeps the other on his shoulder.]

No one mentioned the Water Sector being as messed up as ours is getting. Hopefully we'll be able to come back.

[Too bad, Victor, because he's taking both and slipping them over his shoulder.]

As long as we're not in a house that could collapse and crush you, then I guess it'll be okay. I wonder why this is happening though.

[This gets Victor picked up too. At least until he wriggles free of the bag's strap and falls. Thankfully he catches himself and shoots Santo a long look. Walking with him, he makes sure the doors are all locked up before following Santo into the streets.

I'm going to guess this is the Emperor's fault. Somehow. [He really doesn't like her.]

[Santo thought it was kind of funny, and it's not like Victor is heavy at all to him.]

I'm pretty much blaming everything on her from now on.

Most things can probably be traced back to her somehow. And if she's no behind them, she's probably making them worse. Like this whole rationing thing. Taking money on top of food and supplies just reeks of there being something fishy going on.

I'm blaming everything on her. The house is molding? Blame her. It's cloudy today? Blame her? You're still not getting any? That's totally her fault too.

[He sighs.] It's not right for her to just take everything from us, and to starve us on top of it... I'm giving you my rations, by the way.

[Now Santo does get punched. He knows for what part.]

No, it's not right at all. And I get the feeling there's trouble brewing...or she's trying to provoke it. [He rolls his eyes.] Yes, I noticed you trying to sneak them into my stuff. I've been putting back some so you don't starve yourself.

[Santo actually looks relieved once Victor finally punches him. Balance is finally restored.]

So... What do you think we should do about it, dude? It's not like we can avoid it or tell her to go screw herself... And I'm just going to keep putting it back with your stuff. It's not like I have to eat or anything. [He forgets that Victor knows him better than anyone, and even if not eating won't kill him, he'll still get cranky and lethargic the longer he goes on without a meal.]

I don't know yet. Still working on that with some others. [He rolls his eyes.] Santo, you should still eat. Trust me, we're all better off if you do. [Another way of saying "I'm worried about you, jerk!"]

Oh yeah? When were you gonna let me in on the whole thing? [He laughs a little, not really that bothered.] Vic... [He stops walking to look at his best friend.] The amount of rations they're giving us? That's like one meal for me, and I don't even need to eat to survive. You do. So you're going to shut up and take my food because you're skinny enough already. [aka he's worried about Vic more.]

When I had something more than the fact that we're working on it. I told you you about the book and the blood we found underground, didn't I? [He wonders if Santo pays attention to him sometimes but isn't all that bothered. When Santo stops, Vic continues for a step before turning towards him.] Santo, even if you don't need it, I know you. And I know you won't let me give back all of the rations but you have to eat some of it. [A beat.] And I'm not skinny, I've got a slender and acrobatic frame.

Uuuuuuh... I don't think so... Did you? [And now Santo isn't sure because he can't remember. He can't remember because he was in JAIL.] I'm not letting you starve, dude. I don't need the food, you do, that's all there is to it. If anything happens to you...

Maybe. Well either way, we found a really old book and some blood slides down there. We're trying to get the book translated. [He keeps his voice down as he says this. Then he gives Santo a look.]

All there is to it is that you eat to make sure nothing happens to you either.

[Okay, Santo definitely didn't know anything about that, at least the blood part.] Blood... Slides? Okay, you're going to have to explain this to me and tell me that it wasn't like a waterpark slide. [He knows it's not, but that's chilling even to him, and this is just how he deals with this kind of stuff.]

If I eat just enough to keep me from feeling hungry [And they that, he really means just a tiny piece of bread], will you promise to take the rest?

[Victor sighs.] Slides are what you put things on so you can look at them under a microscope. We found some with blood on them.

That was the plan all along, Santo.

Oh yeah... I knew that. [He's not sure if he's relieved or disappointed that he was wrong.] Do you know anything about the blood on it? Like, is it different from normal or something?

[He sighs.] Okay, cool... But I get to decide how much is enough for me.

No you didn't. [He shakes his head.] Not yet. There's a science guy looking at it.

And if I notice you're lying about it being enough, I'm going to make you eat more.
