The Emperor sees it fit to keep us here while denying us information which I believe we are entitled to. Unfortunately, she only makes herself available for questioning infrequently.

I am Tarrlok, Head of the Republic City Council, Representative of the Northern Water Tribe, and Master Waterbender. [He wouldn't usually introduce himself with ALL of those titles. And he'd rarely ever bother calling himself a 'Master Waterbender' - because frankly, a waterbender would have been expected to have mastered it at his age. But most people here didn't know what a waterbender was, and she had a long list of titles, so he figured he may as well mention everything.]

I'm afraid not. A lot of the inner workings of this place seem to be kept secret from us.

Some of the kedan seem to take issue with our presence, as well, so I would suggest conducting business with other foreigners as much as possible.

And the circumstances of their anger? Had the foreigners wronged the kedan in some way? Were there casualties?

No casualties, from what I've witnessed. Some of the kedan do not like our presence here, and see us all as threats, even if only some of us have caused trouble.
