[Kal-El seems to be posting from a cafe in the water sector, judging by his surroundings. A cafe that has seen better days. Kal's face makes it obvious he wasn't expecting the cafe to be in such a state when he got there, seeing all this go on without being able to help is really hitting him hard.]

Superman here. I'm aware the rationing is the hot topic nowadays but there isn't... much I can do about that. I will do my best to help out Roger's food bank and if anyone needs me to do so don't hesitate to contact me but for now you will have to forgive me for deviating from the topic.

This last month I have noticed a lot of foreigners that happened to have powers with them that were... not sure what to do with them at best, outright scared of them at worse. I want to help with that.

I am a super-powered being myself, we are called 'metahumans' in my world. I was thinking maybe there should be some kind of... way for us to meet, to talk about our problems. To train each other if our powers are similar, to help us out when it's needed. I'm not sure where I was going with this but that... well, that was my suggestion.

[A little shrug and a smile] I would like to hear people's opinion in it?

[The reply comes late at night. Evandau is occupied moreso than usual by the state of things and it tells in the tired note of his voice.]

[By that point Clark was honestly not expecting a reply anymore, so he looks rather surprised to see one.]

Uh, yes- I wanted to ask about the rationing. Would it be possible to let some of us work with the ones in charge of it? Some of the foreigners, I mean.

Depends on what you mean by 'work with.'

And that depends on how much we'd be allowed to do to help out. It just seems unfair to ask us to give away part of our food if we can't even help out with the rationing.

You Foreigners are an untrained and generally belligerent lot whenever things need to get done. Involving you would make waste of good time to train and monitor to ensure that no favours were being passed.

Generalizing like that is hardly fair, especially when I'm simply offering help. I know our help us generally unwanted but I'm beginning to think us being 'untrained and belligerent' doesn't have much to do with it.

What is it you're hiding from us this time?

[This being what he means when he talks of time wasting. Between the protests and the conspiracy theories, there is little he can hope to get done any given day.]

[Kal tilts his head] So you're saying not calling upon us was a way to ensure our help?

No. I'm saying it was a way to ensure no wasted words or effort getting everyone off their ass to help the greater good. [A break in words.] I've got kedan aplenty that want to do that without having to pull Foreigner teeth.

Really now? Because from here it looks more like you're trying to do all the work yourselves so you don't have to give an explanation.

[He wouldn't have dreamed of putting it so bluntly when he got here. After months of being ordered around for no reason he isn't going to hold back.]

And yet, here I am being demanded for one. [A dry return.] I'd be a fool to think that your inane curiosities would relent simply because I had others handle the tasks.

So if you knew we'd be bothered and curious about it why did you still handle it that way? It seems like needlessly stirring up unease around us.
