[Kal-El seems to be posting from a cafe in the water sector, judging by his surroundings. A cafe that has seen better days. Kal's face makes it obvious he wasn't expecting the cafe to be in such a state when he got there, seeing all this go on without being able to help is really hitting him hard.]

Superman here. I'm aware the rationing is the hot topic nowadays but there isn't... much I can do about that. I will do my best to help out Roger's food bank and if anyone needs me to do so don't hesitate to contact me but for now you will have to forgive me for deviating from the topic.

This last month I have noticed a lot of foreigners that happened to have powers with them that were... not sure what to do with them at best, outright scared of them at worse. I want to help with that.

I am a super-powered being myself, we are called 'metahumans' in my world. I was thinking maybe there should be some kind of... way for us to meet, to talk about our problems. To train each other if our powers are similar, to help us out when it's needed. I'm not sure where I was going with this but that... well, that was my suggestion.

Worth of a dictionary. [Said with a grin but it quickly fades.]

Some of the foreigners... we lost them during the attack, but later they came back. It was overall pretty dangerous. [Bean looks like the kind of kid that doesn't like having anything hidden from them, so he doesn't. One of the foreigners that died was Dick, who's like a son to him... it was pretty hard on everyone.]

[Bean squints.] What do you mean they came back?

[He opens his mouth then closes it again, thinking how to word it. He wouldn't even trouble a kid with it, but Bean is definitely not the usual kind of kid.]

We have reasons to believe we're... clones. Do you know what that is?

I have heard this theory before. So you believe we are just copies of our real selves, with memories and thoughts implanted?

I honestly don't know if I believe it, but it is a possibility. Did you hear about the cloning facility?

My cousin was there when they found it, and when it got destroyed.

If it was destroyed, does that mean that no more copies can be created? So if someone were to die now, they could not come back?

[Regardless, Bean is impressed by the possibility of technology that not only clones humans to maturity, but includes thought and memory.]

That's what we thought, but apparently she's found a way to keep bringing us somehow, except we now don't come from the sea like we used to.

Since that happened right after the facility blew up it's pretty safe to at least consider the possibility that we might be clones. It's not something we're going to solve any time soon if you ask me.

So we're copies from the start. Interesting. Our lives may be continuing on without us back home.

We've reasons to believe they aren't. For example I know people from my world who were brought in from a later point in time than I was, yet nothing changed when I got here.

I meant our lives are continuing on with our original copies, us being merely clones.

Then they must have a very advanced technology to be able to choose the amount of memories we get.
