Video

[Much as he hates saying 'told you so'--no, that's a lie, he enjoys it very much sometimes--he just can't resist the urge. He's been watching the kedan get more and more aggressive by the day. Hell, he just lost his job, too. Good times.]

Considering everything that's happening, maybe the next time I tell you people that these kedan aren't friendlies, you'll actually listen.

[HAHA NO, NOBODY EVER LISTENS TO DEAN 8|]

[Grantaire just scoffs. it's a good thing his eyeroll can't be seen through audio, or his perpetual deeply-marred frown.] No one is friendly when they've begun to starve. The first to be blamed are always foreigners, minorities, and nomads.

Oui, because that would have been the smart decision. Unless, of course, their darling Empress has brought us here to provide the scapegoat she needs to continue to rule without question. Always possible with Monarchs.

My issue is with monarchs in general, though a makeshift attempt at a republic is barely much better in the end.

[Oh, they could be good friends, Dean, though his friends are less friendly with said authority than he is.]
