No dwarves and I don't know what the hell Qunari are, so it's a safe no on them, too. [As for what they have, hoboy. Fenris, you'd be sitting for hours if Dean went through the whole list, so he'll keep it simple.] As for the rest, we've got the usual. Spirits. Demons, angels, gods and goddesses, witches-- [This he says with a distinct sneer. Witches, man.] --sirens, dragons. Not many dragons, thank fuck. There's only one thing that'll kill those sons of bitches.

[ So basically you just have literally all the worst things. Fenris is never booking a vacation to your world, Dean.

[ There's a long pause in which Fenris' eyebrows inch ever higher on his face, and then he can't help a dry little snort of amusement, followed by a low, rusty laugh.

Congrats Dean, most people can't get him to crack a semi-smile, let alone make him laugh. ] Tell me you did not buy that line. I've known even Orlesian merchants to be in possession of more subtlety.

Then she was taken in; any sword will do. Or dagger, or bow. [ Or magic, but we don't talk about how incredibly beneficial magic has been for Fenris lately because it makes him feel dirty. ] I would not try though, were I you. It takes more skill that I imagine you have to not die gruesomely in the process.

Maybe where you're from. [But now he's curious about the differences.] How do you kill demons?

Before they have a chance to open mouth and sow their lies, if you have any sense. [ A beat. Alright, maybe he should be a little less obtuse. ] But much the same way. Once they are called out of the Fade, they will die like any creature, whether in possession of men or not.

[notamachine]

[Wow, Fenris, demons are easy to kill in your world. Get Dean some of that!] I'm gonna guess if they're possessing someone, killing the demon kills the host, too. That's how it works for us, though...to be fair, the host is usually already dead at that point, so it doesn't matter.

[ Fenris' world also doesn't have indoor plumbing. RETHINK THIS REQUEST DEAN! ] It does, yes. One may not kill one without killing the other when possession has already happened, but allowing demons to run free is no alternative at all. [ He squints as though waiting for Dean to argue. He's kept company with too many people who felt the opposite, lately. ]

You ever try exorcising them first? [This is not an entirely stupid question, but Dean, do you really think whatever religion Fenris' world has also has a Catholic rites equivalent?] Worst case with that, you can at least smoke 'em out, send them back where they came from. If the host's dead, they're dead, but sometimes you can avoid killing some poor kid whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

It's a chant--a religious chant. Forces the demon out of the host. Doesn't always save them, but it can help.

[He thinks for a second, lips pressed together. Dang, Fenris, look at this attractive asshole.]

I don't know how well it'd work here, thanks to the whole automatic translating thing going on, but...if you wanted to learn the rite, I could teach you.
