[Carol is seated in front of her console, in civvies. Actually, sitting might be the wrong term. She's more floating a few inches above her chair, legs crossed. She does this sometimes without thinking when she's sitting. She looks mostly unbothered by this whole thing. A little frustrated maybe but at most it seems to be a minor inconvenience]

So. Alternate universes are a bitch, huh? Or whatever you'd classify this as. You would think whatever bigger power it is you believe in would have decided by now that this has happened to me enough but I guess not. Oh well, what can you do? [Said oh so casually like she has just seen way too much of of this shit. Which she has. Weird happenings are sort of a thing in her life ]

Anyway, alternate universe craziness aside, my name's Carol. Nice to meet you guys. Under the circumstances and all. I'm sure you hear stuff like this a lot but let's just get this out of the way first: What's the progress on not being here anymore?

And while I'm asking things, how many people here are from Earth? Better yet, who here has heard of the Avengers, the X Men or Captain America? Or who knows anything about superheroes at all, even if it's not any of the things I just mentioned? Let's just say I want to know for my own reference.

[She'd also like to see just how many people ended up here from her world. Or a world similar to hers. Having more superheroes around never hurt. She pauses and glances off to the side, looking at something intensely for a minute as if considering something very important before turning back to the console]

Unrelated but can the fires around here actually burn things? Just, you know, curious.

I didn't hear of them before I got here. Back at home we have the Justice League.

Yeah, the redheaded kid hitting on me right now told me about that. Apparently we're from different but very similar Earths. Hi.

[That makes him laugh, if a little awkwardly.] That would be Wally, he's pretty harmless but do tell me if he bothers you.

You mentioned Captain America? Are you from the same Earth as you?

[Carol waves a hand, laughing a bit too] Nah, it's cool. He's just a teenage boy with teenage boy hormones. At least he's not being a creep about it. It's kind of cute, actually.

Yup! Well, a version of him. Apparently the one here isn't the same one I know. At least that's what the kids from my Earth are telling me.

[He nods, smiling a bit.] Been there, done that. A couple of kids in this place are from the same multiverse I come from... but not the same universe.

It's better than not knowing anyone at all though isn't it? [Kal you only say that because at least your wife is here and from the same universe you are...]

I guess. [She shrugs. It's actually not better. No one knows her except for a few teenagers] I mean, it could be worse, at least. There could be dinosaurs or homicidal shape shifting aliens. ....I'd take dinosaurs over the second thing, if I had to pick.

Well, not exactly 'homicidal' but the Kedan do shape-shift. And they aren't from Earth per se so they can probably be considered aliens, so I'm afraid you're out of luck.

Has anyone explained to you some of the things that have happened on the turtle? The things we have to be ready for?

I'm pretty okay with shapeshifters as long as they don't try to murder me. [She's pretty okay with aliens too. Just not...Skrulls]

Not really? I mean, I've been told about the rationing and the turtle flu or whatever and that the kedan don't like us much but.....

Once a couple of months ago the Turtle decided to take a bath, and went underwater. It all seemed to go alright, the barrier held up- until we faced underwater zombies.

Just as an example.

I wanna be surprised by that but I'm just not. Underwater zombies, might as well. Believe it or not that isn't the weirdest thing I've ever heard of.

I believe you, that's pretty much the consensus when you come from a world with superheroes.

[Hmmm] Well, there's the visits to the mainland. We aren't really sure if they happen periodically but it's happened twice ever since I've been here. And we visit it we lose our powers.

All of them, completely. And it wasn't fun to find that out when I was facing some monsters.

Oh boy, power nerfing! [She hates iiiiiiiit] Good thing I was trained to punch things without them. Still kind of inconvenient though.

Inconvenient and annoying for sure. But it's temporary, and we're lucky enough we maintain our powers while on the turtle I suppose.

Is it rude to ask the kind of powers you have?

That's something, at least.

[Shrug]

Nah, not rude. They're pretty public back home so. Super strength, flight, bullet proof skin, general invulnerability, the ability to survive in space, photon blasts and energy manipulation.

[He whistles] Impressive, really. You must be a pretty important part of your world.

Would you be open to some sparring? It's not often I find someone I don't have to hold back with.

[Another shrug] Well I am undeniably awesome but most people just kind of see me as another Avenger. Which is fine. I did the solo thing for a while but it never really measured up to being part of a team.

Definitely. Very few people at home can stand up to my strength so I know how that feels.

[He laughs a bit but he can't say he really knows how that is. He was one of the first superheroes so even if there's plenty of people who go toe-to-toe against him now everyone still puts him in a pedestal not even him can live up to.]

Say a place and a time then, and we'll let the fists go wild.
