 [Carol is seated in front of her console, in civvies. Actually, sitting might be the wrong term. She's more floating a few inches above her chair, legs crossed. She does this sometimes without thinking when she's sitting. She looks mostly unbothered by this whole thing. A little frustrated maybe but at most it seems to be a minor inconvenience]

So. Alternate universes are a bitch, huh? Or whatever you'd classify this as. You would think whatever bigger power it is you believe in would have decided by now that this has happened to me enough but I guess not. Oh well, what can you do? [Said oh so casually like she has just seen way too much of of this shit. Which she has. Weird happenings are sort of a thing in her life ]

Anyway, alternate universe craziness aside, my name's Carol. Nice to meet you guys. Under the circumstances and all. I'm sure you hear stuff like this a lot but let's just get this out of the way first: What's the progress on not being here anymore?

And while I'm asking things, how many people here are from Earth? Better yet, who here has heard of the Avengers, the X Men or Captain America? Or who knows anything about superheroes at all, even if it's not any of the things I just mentioned? Let's just say I want to know for my own reference.

[She'd also like to see just how many people ended up here from her world. Or a world similar to hers. Having more superheroes around never hurt. She pauses and glances off to the side, looking at something intensely for a minute as if considering something very important before turning back to the console]

Unrelated but can the fires around here actually burn things? Just, you know, curious.

Oh I bet that was a pretty mess. [She can just imagine] I've met plenty of kids who were perfectly nice and not brats. But man, some of them are handfuls. I mean, I was so maybe I'm not one to talk.

[ Snort. He's going to hold his tongue for once and not blurt something like a stupid teenage boy about her being a "handful." Just this once. Maybe he's learning from Black Canary flipping him everywhere. ]

Nope. Got 'em after I replicated the accident that gave my uncle his powers.

[ Yep. Replicated a chemical explosion. Boy's a genius. ]

You purposely replicated a science accident? So you were trying to give yourself superpowers? [Wow dude, that sounds like a really bad idea. And Carol knows a thing or two about bad ideas because most of hers are just that]

I got mine from being blasted with an alien laser.

Of course. Moment I found out he was my hero and he had taken down notes after figuring out what gave him his powers? How could any thirteen year old resist?

[ He should at least get credit for being able to decipher research notes at such a young age. ]

Alien laser? Did it mess with your DNA?

Well I guess at the very least you should get credit for being able to figure out the notes and get the explosion right. Thirteen. Wow. I'm way older than that and I still suck at science.

[She is sort of impressed]

Yup. Apparently it made me half alien and gave me these powers.

Well- thing is, it was a freak-accident for my uncle. Random lightning bolt hit the rack of chemicals he was working with in his lab and bam, powers.

Woah- half-alien? Sounds like one of my friends, 'cept he's a clone.

Why do so many people get superpowers from accidents? You'd think they'd have invented some sort of...I don't know, anti-superpower shield or something.

[Carol nods] Yeah, genetically. I've also go memories of the planet this species lives on even though I've never lived there myself. And I can speak their language. It's weird.

Hah! Thankfully not in my uncle's case. [ That's his idol, man. No way he'd want a world without The Flash. ]

Oooh. Sounds all kinds of scientifically weird. I wonder how hard it'd be to replicate something like that back home... Then again, only alien species still around that I know about are Martians and Appellaxians.

Well, considering it was a laser from an alien planet that probably doesn't exist in your universe. And considering that there was another person actually of that alien species to play living shield because otherwise I probably would've been vaporized.... [Please to be not trying to replicate Kree lasers, Wally]

Oh- ... Oh. So when they shielded you from the laser... It mixed their DNA with yours? That's intense.

That's how it was explained to me. I was in the hospital for a while. They said there was nothing wrong with me and then boom! Superpowers.
