[ The video feed loads and Mikey comes into view, frowning in concentration with his tongue sticking out. Computers are not his best subject. After about ten seconds he seems to realize that he's broadcasting and leans in, grabbing the console screen as if he can see everyone if he just gets close enough. ]

Uhhh... hello? This thing on?

[ He waves a two-fingered hand in front of the camera and sits back slightly. ]

So um, anyone know if this turtle gets DSL? 'Cause I gotta send a word back to my bros and I can't find the internet thingy on this computer.

[ Squinting at the console, a look of understanding dawns on his face. ]

Ohhhh what if I press--

[The recording catches the tail-end of a breathless choke of indignation. Mike fights dirty, and it's keeping Leo off-balance.

He's very careful with his voice this time around. It's difficult because he's still reeling from that impression.]

[He wasn't prepared for this, no fair. Of course, it doesn't matter what's fair. What matters is who wins.

Mike is TOTALLY winning. It doesn't help that this is a one-on-one, and normally at this point Leo's brothers would bounce the energy around to something else.

So when your opponent is pressing their advantage and you're ~~getting completely routed~~ strategically retreating, what do you do? MIS-DIRECTION.]

I mean, there's gotta be something more important you could be doing.

[.... D'OH!

But Leo loves ya too, not-bro-except-for-around-the-edges-a-bit. What, isn't this normally how people express familial affection?]

[Are you trying to deflect and distract, Leo? Is that what you're trying to do?

You know you're right. I should be doing something. Something important. It's still daylight outside, right? I could totally go for a walk. Or to the market. In broad daylight. Maybe I'll take Mikey here with me. Give him the lay of the land.

[Just...ignore the smug look on Mike's face, because...well, he's looking awfully smug.

If his Raph where here they'd be exchanging knowing looks right now. It takes a lot to get Leo to snap like this back home, and there's a point awarded to whoever can do it.

No no no, you're doing that all wrong. You've got to get a full on Michaelangelo in there. What's the point of giving an order if you're not going to bust out all five syllables?

Take Mikey out in broad daylight and you'll both be dealing with a lot more than a few extra syllables.

[It's extremely rare for Leo to try to bludgeon compliance this way. He's feeling the strain of trying to wrangle TWO Michelangelos - one both incredibly devious and older than him - by himself. He doesn't even have Sensei for back-up on the daylight issue, and that's a basic thing that Splinter would come down on immediately - sure, they'd left during daylight hours, but only to rescue April. Leo's never had to enforce this particular discipline on his own authority. The fact that it really doesn't pose the same danger is not one Leo will adjust to easily, and he clearly has yet to accept it.

But at least the focus is away from his voice now. So... misdirection worked? Sorta?]
