[As the video cuts on a girl can be seen trying to adjust the settings only to slam her fist down right next to the keyboard in total frustration.]
Stupid technology…and I thought the ancient El-Hazardians made things complicated; this has got to be even worse!
[Because technology is only good when it works, and highly selective in whoever it chooses to be user friendly toward. Can you really blame her?
Upon closer inspection of the girl, she looks somewhat drained, like the strength had been sapped from her body and she was slowly trying to get it back. She shows some visible signs of her weariness, pinching the bridge of her nose between her thumb and forefinger.]
Okay…whatever…it’s on so it’ll be what it’ll be for now…just as long as I can communicate…oh and since we’re communicating I’m going to need some answers right now.
[She sure sounds grateful, doesn’t she.]
Because…well, to be frank I didn’t understand a single thing those Phantom Tribe look-alikes were trying to yammer at me…and while we’re on the subject of yammering keep it brief. [She makes the gesture for small with her fingers to emphasize the point.] I was dumped here with a massive headache and I don’t think I can take too much…I don’t know if it has something to do with the fact that I can’t use my powers all that great…[She snaps her fingers, but only a small burst of fire appears briefly and like a candle being extinguished it goes away]…or maybe they did something…bastards…if they did I’ll seriously…
[…“kick their ass” is hanging in the air there somewhere, but a wave of weariness washes over her and she drops her head into her hands.]…This is so stupid…

Well...this cell does come with a bed, maybe I'll just go ahead and take advantage of the hospitality.
Hm...well yeah, that's kind of how it works, because only trained priestesses are allowed to wield the elements. I guess it's because they wanna weed out who will abuse their power from those who will do what they're supposed to...the instructors have a mean arm too. [Shayla would know, she's been whacked around the head with their paddles so many times she can't even keep count anymore.] So firebening, that means you can use the element too? I'd be interested in seeing what you can do!
[Really, because as a Great Priestess, she's constantly looking for...well...greatness.]
Oh...well that's...okay, so there are three Holy Priestesses. They're the best of the best when it comes to manipulating Wind, Fire, and Water...when I was a child I was privileged enough to watch the Priestess of Fire, Crayna-Crayna, the way she used fire when she was meditating was awesome! I wanted to do that, I wanted to be the next Priestess of Fire...and I did! It was hard work, but Crayna-Crayna retired and passed on the title to me.

Sounds good to me! I’m pretty curious to see how different our fire styles will be. [Seeing new things related to elemental control? Yes please!] There is nothing worse than criminals abusing their bending, they just- [That fire in her hand starts to get bigger before she makes a fist stamping the flame out.]
Anyway, that’s so cool that you achieved your goal! I’m still kind of working on mine and it’s gotten to be a lot harder now that I’m here instead of back home. But really, what can you do. [Enjoy a free suite and that air conditioning for one.]
I’m going to take a wild guess, but is your suite in the Fire Sector? [She’s got this question wrong with someone else, but can’t be wrong every time, right?] Before you get that rest, mind if I ask how old you are? I’m seventeen. [There had been quite a few older adults on the network, so Korra had been on the lookout to those closer to her age whom she could relate to.]

Hm...so where you're from anyone can be a bender then? [That's something to chew on.] In El-Hazard there's some degree of innateness...but only certain individuals are really qualified to use elements. [And then she grins as Korra's flame is extinguished by her fist.] If that's a sign of what you can do we might not be too different in our ability.
Oh? Is there a goal you're aiming for? [To bad the other Priestesses aren't here...though Afura's air techniques are probably not even remotely related to what Korra needs for her training.]
Got it in one! Yup, couldn't think of a better place to have ended up actually...unless this is supposed to be irony. It's not exactly a big place, but it'll do for me...I sometimes forget that I grew up on the streets...Priestesses tend to get a little bit spoiled [Because they get their own temple on Mt. Muldoon.] Ah, well we're pretty close, aren't we? I'm nineteen. [Only off by a couple of years, but it's not bad at all.]

Well some people are born with the gift to bend one of the four elements, some aren’t. Except for me. Back on my world only the Avatar can bend all four elements and needs to master them to keep balance in the world and is also the bridge to the Spirit World. I’ve mastered Water, Earth, and Fire, but I just barely unlocked my airbending right before finding myself here. With no one to train me. So I’m kind of hoping everything my airbending master taught me just clicks like he said it would. [Part of it clicked and she got the spiraling movements down at least.] Until then I’m not the Avatar I need to be. [And the Avatar State is kind of cheating since she can just channel previous ones and use their airbending abilities.]
I’m used to just having a room, but a whole suite with a second floor is prêt-ty nice. And this air conditioning is the best thing of all time! [Seriously. It’s hot, so cold air now. It’s cold, so hot air now. FUCKING MAGIC. Korra’s still in love with that thing.]
Pretty darn close, yeah! [A slightly older girl with fire manipulation who just said that her seventeen wasn’t too far off from nineteen? Jazzed Korra is jazzed.] I’m in the Metal Sector at ME-2B. It’s got a lot of this advanced technology stuff and I want to try it out, but not until I get a hold of some more juulans. If you ever want to stop by while you’re in the Metal, my door’s open Shayla.

That's a very important goal you have! [And Shayla puts on her thinking face.] If Afura Mann were here...I don't know how much help she'd be...being the Great Priestess of Wind an all that would be her area of expertise...except she's very...yanno...[she gives a vague, floppy hand wave]...straight-laced and strict. I figured she'd be more care free and wild...
Oh...I think Makoto tried to explain that to me once, air conditioning...I wasn't really paying attention...but it was something about pumping air into a room in order to keep it cool. I'm pretty immune to heat...but I like a little breeze too so that does sound nice! [El-Hazard is pretty warm in some places, it could use a little AC.]
[Shayla could totally see herself hanging out with Korra no matter what her age was, the fact that they're pretty close is a cool coincidence.] Yeah, you can expect to see me at your door just as soon as this goes away. [She's referring to her weariness, but she doesn't want to call it that.] Oh and if you feel like hanging out I'm at FI-1A...that's what they told me.

What is with air-types?! My master is the exact same way, all uptight and by the book. [That floppy hand wave said everything Korra needed to picture what Afura was like.]
I'll be here. Staying inside is like a little vacation from the kedan. I'll be sure to knock when I finally go poke around the Fire Sector!
no subject
Yeah! That's exactly what it is...and I always thought of air in terms of fire. This wild and un-tamable force of nature. Fun, light, unpredictable! And then I go an look at Afura...[need she say more?]
Okay, well as soon as I'm feeling better I'll stop by, I have to explore this place anyway.
